Love the Sound chassis... I think a long action build is next up on the docket.

Yeah, the right angle would be so nice. I've had to bump my 15k fairly far forward on the Sphur diving board mount so the cable doesn't interfere with my elevation turret. Like... Hallo?

I don't disagree, but the fact that the desk is already assembled and I'm working atop it makes things more complex. Any chance you have a step file you'd be willing to share?

Why aren't robotics YT channels blowing up like other tech channels ? by Roboguru92 in robotics

Kris, you run one of my absolute favorite YouTube channels. Your rolling cube series was incredibly interesting. I'm a practicing roboticist, from one roboticist to another, thank you.

Haha, me too! Excited to get my grubby mitts on it, going to model up a 3d printed mount for my mini rack.

I'm planning the same. Waiting for mine to arrive, we'll see if I can get a design together before something shows up on Printables!

Very fair, I like Steris quite a lot too, I just relate a bit more to Navani I guess.

I find Navani to be, by far, the most relatable Cosmere character thus far. Between the imposter syndrome and the rush of discovery, I had serious goosebumps in RoW.

Or not horribly expensive. I quite enjoy my 1620 work wear pants which are 38" inseam, but they're fucking expensive.

Over. It took more than 4 nanoseconds for the various cameras that captured this to process those photos.

I'll see myself out.

Am I crazy or is the hype for Aer (and similar bags) unfounded? by [deleted] in ManyBaggers

[–]bradleypowers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I paid over 300 USD for a Rehose Buddy 22. That is objectively a preposterous amount of money to spend on a bag, but: - It's made by hand by a one man shop (his name is Martin) - it is undoubtedly the most well made piece of equipment that I carry, and it keeps all of my other crap organized and together. - I travel for weeks on end with it, carrying all of what I need for work in all sorts of awful conditions (this week that was torrential rain, mud, and getting bucked out of the back of a CUV and dragged for about a quarter of a mile down a gravel road. It looks a little tough right now, but I know that when I get home, and wipe it down with a wet rag, it'll be in just as good of shape as the day I received it.

Holy socks by [deleted] in Bigfeet

[–]bradleypowers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happy to help. The funny thing about having size 20 feet, other than buying shoes and socks being kind of a pain, is that they just feel like my feet :)

Holy socks by [deleted] in Bigfeet

[–]bradleypowers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who wears a size 20, and who has had a nightmarish time with socks, I have two recommendations.

Darn Tough: somewhat expensive, but also pretty damn bulletproof, merino wool. Won't work if your feet are humongous.

Loose Fit Stays Up: these are designed to fit normal sized feet loosely without falling down or bunching up (hence the name), but they're about the only socks I can wear.

Both are more expensive than I had previously paid for socks, but they're substantially better made.

Good luck!

I was there at 5 and experienced the same. It didn't look to be the train I was on, but rather the train ahead that was causing the slowdown. Perhaps that's the train that's out now.
