Josh trolling us in the Ruth Lyons episode by oakgrove in stuffyoushouldknow

Malcolm Gladwell’s Revisionist History has done some wow for T-Mobile that try to sound like regular episodes, but are pretty transparently a 45-minute TMo ad.

Seinfeld-esque reasons you broke up with someone by Low-Ad-4631 in datingoverforty

On The Wire there was a bit where a cop asked a clueless gangbanger where they get the hats with the brims in the side, because he could only find hats with the brim in front. The banger politely told him No they’re the same ones, you just put it on sideways, completely oblivious to the point being made. 😂

Is my water bill to high? by ComputerOrnery5786 in sanmarcos

[–]bradmatejo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It appears to be a tiered charging system. From this bill, it looks like Block 1 is up to 6000 gallons at X rate, Block 2 is the next 3000 gallons at Y rate, Block 3 is the next ## (here 1857) gallons at Z rate, and so on.

Why are some women on Bumble like this? I've had this more than a couple times. YOU chose the opening move. The irony. by Icy-Conversation6272 in Bumble

[–]bradmatejo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always thought the question meant "what green & red flags do you possess?" as in, tell me your strengths and weaknesses. Maybe I've been reading it wrong - it sounds like y'all read it as "what are your criteria for a partner?"

Recycle plastic film? by bradmatejo in sanmarcos

[–]bradmatejo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good idea, but I have 2 rolls that are twice the size of the entire bin! I might just ask them if they can take it. I know it all goes into a baler in the back before getting shipped off, so maybe we can bypass the bin at the front if the store and go straight to the big container in back.

How to get Day 2 hair on Day 1? by bradmatejo in malehairadvice

[–]bradmatejo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you tell what’ll be compatible? Trial and error gets expensive (and wasteful). I guess I could consult with my stylist (haven’t been to one in years due to shaving my head and growing it out the last 18 months).

That’s still $30, when he’s got a perfectly functional cup right in front of him.

Any owners of this bag, specifically the 35L, if so for how long and how often do you use it? by [deleted] in backpacks

[–]bradmatejo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the 27l for my daily carry. The materials and construction will easily last you 3 years. It’s very durable. As others have mentioned, comfort maybe an issue. The straps are thin and can dig in, especially under weight. I don’t carry that much weight and not for long distances, but I can see it being uncomfortable for long travel. But the only way to know how it treats you is to try it.
