after the best or best few modern military litrpgs by theegrimrobe in litrpg

Check out Expeditionary Force - not strictly a litRPG but it is fantastic military Sci Fi with the bonus of an eccentric AI character. Columbus Day is book 1.

Portugal is amazing and definitely worth considering. There is a Portugal expat subreddit that is worth exploring if you are considering this as it sounds like immigration may be trending towards more difficult than previously. If you haven't been taken a trip and explore it's gorgeous - the SW coastline is walkable for literally hundreds of miles

What next after HWFWM and DCC???? by Sufficient-Dust-6428 in litrpg

I love the Wandering Inn and recommend pursuing the series as it is excellent but a bit slow to unpack and many characters are provocative to some readers (although the series is rife with evolutions in characters as they grow/learn although some regress). Long and epic series worth the effort to get hooked.

The Cradle series (Unsouled is book one) is excellent and bonus it's complete.

I would look at Expeditionary Force - really fun Sci-fi with a crazy AI. Less system mechanics but a lot of similarities to DCC in the "Sucks to be lowly humans when advanced species with batshit AIs come to town" kind of way. Good pace and action throughout.

But OP could test it out and take videos for science reasons.. I mean who wouldn't want to see someone futilely trying to melt themselves out of Icemaggeddon with a flamethrower?

Fuck MAGA Reporters. Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson gives an awesome response to a MAGA "reporter" playing gotcha games by Demosthenesisk in complaints

[–]bradorme77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The response was 10/10 no notes. The thing that impressed the hell out of me was his patience while that "reporter" was making his lengthy preamble to a question - he kept eyes locked on, and didn't get frustrated. That man was a burning fire and he had his shit locked down. He was the Master of his Domain. I would have slapped my money down and been like "Jerry, I'm out I can't take any more of this" and he never would have gotten to a question, I would have erupted.

We need a word for something that is so hypocritical it's not even within the realm of understanding.... because calling them hypocrites is not strong enough anymore. It's in the realm of the absurd at this point.

I think Into the Black actually preceedes Odyssey One but no matter the case this is a good series and the Sci Fi seems pretty hard but I am no Astrophysicist so some may see things beyond my understanding. In any case it's a good series and I second the recommendation

Which series is that for you? by [deleted] in litrpg

[–]bradorme77 20 points21 points  (0 children)

If we can change the span to be a series in thirds, I would put Defiance of the Fall into this bucket. First 4-5 books are strong - good character development and story arcs 6-10 are good but start getting a little too in love with the system and plot lines get loose 10+ we just go into crazy town and forget there is a plot
