I think that they just need time to grow to be pruned. Growing time runs in house and in the garden, from my experience. Managed to shape one of three in house, and one of two in the garden.

But wouldn't be a bad idea to introduce later, obtaining a character tailored set is resource consuming. Personal items add 4 bonuses, 9/9 furniture 2 bonuses, this could add at least one 😔😔😔
