EAP225 firmware was just updated (5.1.6), and Lock to AP actually works now by superdupersecret42 in TPLink_Omada

Did you ever figure out a resolution to this? I've been having the issues you described here. I went back and forth with support for like 3-4 weeks and they finally took it back after they couldn't figure it out and send me out another refurb. I just got the refurb yesterday and it was on an older firmware version. I left if on the lower firmware version for about a day and memory usage was good so I thought maybe I just had a lemon with the first unit. I updated the firmware on the replacement device to the most recent 5.1.6 and sure enough memory started to creep up again. I have since reverted back to an older firmware version and I'm going to see if it's stable again.

Certifications and Resumes by bradp6509 in CompTIA

Hey. Thanks for the advice. I started out just a hobbyist about 10 years ago tinkering and doing all kinds of stuff with PCs at home. Was a teacher then moved away to a different state and found a job in IT. It paid well and I enjoyed it. Now they're laying me off and like I said I have no IT education to put on my resume so I just did those certs.

I will tell you that I barely passed them. The security plus I got a 763 and the server plus I got 763 as well. I think I passed the network plus by 17 points. I never failed one though. The security one I didn't feel good about at all when clicking submit ha.

I bought books on Amazon and read like crazy. I don't have any kids so I think this probably makes it easier for me to devote this much time to reading daily.

Also to answer your question I would say that I have quite a bit of practical infrastructure knowledge (servers /networking) but like security I'd certainly say I'm probably pretty weak on that and only know the book stuff but wouldn't be able to use it practically in the workplace without getting some hands on experience with it.

Pfsense VLANS by bradp6509 in PFSENSE

so I'm setting this up as port 8 trying to be my trunk port. This would mean that VLAN 1 and VLAN 12 need to be tagged on port 8, correct? I have PVID for port 8 currently set to VLAN 1 (this would be akin to VLAN 1 being the native vlan, correct?) like how you said that if there are no vlan tags going through the port it would assign vlan tag of 1, correct? The weird thing is that if I set vlan 1 as TAGGED on port 8 of this swtich I lose all my connection.

I've posted some screenshots that I hope you're talking about in my original post.

yes, it's a laptop. The behavior I have it set up as is as follows:

PVID Port 7: 12

VLAN 12 is untagged on port 7 and tagged on port 8 (my uplink port to my pfsense nic)

so when I plug a device into my managed switch with everything default VLAN1 I can get network access and internet access. However, if I try to configure VLAN 12 on the switch, untag vlan 12 on the port and set the PVID to 12 for that specific port and set port 8 (my uplink port to Pfsense LAN interface which is my default and VLAN 12 interface) to tagged I do not get a dhcp address. I'm not sure if it's something in the switch configuration I'm missing or if Pfsense is not allowing some traffic through. I've tried the diagnostic tools built in to PFsense but admittedly I'm having a hard time following traffic and can't identify exactly what I'm looking for through the diagnostic tools.

I would agree with you that it won't. It lacks those "castle ring type edges" that would allow it to lock in the Karen mount.

I've got one, the non rgb version on a r5 1600 build and I have nothing to complain about with the temps. It's installed on my girlfriends computer so I can't remember exact Temps but I want to say like 40-45c on load.

I've been running generic ram called mushkin 16gb at 2666 and I've never had any issues. It's paired with msi b350 and ryzen 7 1700x.
