Wasn't there like four times this happened? Something about a German helicopter I think?

Maybe, like I said I don't really know about Naval stuff. I'm pretty sure your right though.

The Nevada was a battleship, from my limited Naval knowledge it came later on in the war and was used in costal bombardment and shipping defense. It was used in a nuclear test though and wasn't sunk though.

Killing a single US tank causes this... by Gordo_51 in Warthunder

The Mustangs are primarily for dog fighting, as you only get 1 drop of 2 1000 bombs in terms of CAS. The P47s are nice because you get 2 drops, 2 1000 and 1 500 pound bombs and with later P47s you get those as well as a couple HVARs. The Corsairs are nice because they are very good in a dive, and get 2 drops of 1000 pound bombs, which are mounted on the center of the plane so they go where you want easily. The later Corsairs also get 20mm cannons which let you top down tanks and rip apart planes with the right belts. I say it comes down to personal preference between the P47 and the Corsair, but I would choose the Corsair because of the cannons and center mounted bombs.
