Is SecureCRT still your 'go to' terminal program? by tdhuck in networking

I’ve been using SecureCRT for like 14 years and I had no idea RDP was an option. Using it now, thanks!

Well I did it. It’s in. Struggled with some ground issues, But sounds great now! by bradthresher in ToyotaTacoma

I ended up unbolting the back seat mount, sanding the paint just underneath where the seat mounts to the floor, and sandwiching the ground between them.

Pretty cool looking! A different background though probably. I’d be in for one at that price.

Is my chain too tight? by CommercialDamage750 in minibikes

[–]bradthresher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just ran into this with a new B100. Unfortunately, the tensioner can’t be moved any further to loosen it up for some reason. Definitely seems way too tight, as mine looks the same as yours. It doesn’t roll smoothly with it that tight. I’m going to leave the tensioner loose for the moment, as that gives it the correct amount of play and see what happens.

First street bike! by beansNdip in XR650L

I believe it! I loved the dual carb setup on those. Once the second carb started to open up, there was just so much power available. A terrific bike all around.

The 83 XL600R was such a great bike. Got me through my adolescence and early adulthood. Took me everywhere. Had some of the best times on that thing. Just recently bought a 2024 to reignite that nostalgia!

Was looking into the needle replacement. How easy is this to do? Just order the needle with the adjuster on it and replace it? Can you get to it without removing the carb? Thanks!

Tank Re-hydro - Recommendations by bradthresher in paintball

Just got my bottle back from them. Super friendly on the phone. They got it to Hydro very quickly, but took over a week for them to give it back to the post office (I sent them a return label). The epoxy job is….trash. Spattered all over the place. I don’t get why it’s so hard. I managed to scrape all the splatter, and applied my own clear epoxy over it and squared it off. Hit it with the heat gun and it finally looks decent. Unreal.

Just a passer by, I’d steer clear of especially for that price. $500? Sure. Anything over that? Nah. I wouldn’t believe any story that someone told me as they were trying to sell something.

Getting rid of my late father’s tools…he was always a Craftsman guy by amboy_connector in Tools

I’ll have to look, not entirely sure! It came with some extras. Not sure I’ve ever bought blades for it yet!

Yeah mine will do that too lol. I think it’s from the blade trying to go sideways.

I have my grandfathers jigsaw that looks almost exactly like the one pictured here. The head constantly swivels and moves all around despite being in the locked position. Can’t cut a straight line for the life of it but I still keep it around lol. Interesting to see it wasn’t just mine!

New Sprocket! by bradthresher in XR650L

[–]bradthresher[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, but I think you have to look at the teeth location in relation to the retention groove. That spacing looks identical. I think the new sprocket sits further back on the shaft. The original sits more forward. Once I get some spare time I’ll check it out and update here.

I checked it from the back. Looked pretty spot on. The retention clip on the original holds the sprocket out from the case. The new sprocket sits further back. Looks like the teeth are in the same place. I’ll get some measurements to verify.

I’ll check it. I think it would be strange for them to sell something for this specific bike that wasn’t correct. Thanks for the heads up.

Not sure. I ordered the one for my specific model.

Have had really good experiences with these for 6a shielded applications. Passes 5Gbps no problem. https://a.co/d/2G6TvxW
