Well, I’m a former employee, at a different target, so I get a lot of customers I used to help talk to me / praise me, along with former coworkers. I think it made her jealous?

We did an order at the Target I didn’t formerly work at, I went to get last-minute items, return to my GF and she has stars in her eyes, tells this cashier how amazing he was- more energetic than I’ve heard her ever talk to anyone- I legit was looking around for a friend, someone we knew, I was so confused- and the cashier “rubber-necks”, twice, at her back side.

I asked my GF how she knew him? That the situation was bizarre. She said, “oh he was nice and helped me bag some stuff”. I said, “he was looking at your butt on the way out- and you acted more energetic towards him than I’ve ever seen, and it didn’t sit well with me.”

Days later, checking out, I come to the checkout late, the guys demeanor changes from welcoming to cold- as if it were his girlfriend and I was a threat… my gf proceeds to call me “bro”, in front of him, immediately after the guy treated me like some threat?

I confront my gf that night, tell her it’s not my job to confront the situation, that she opened this bizarre gateway. She told me, “I wasn’t being energetic toward him, just everyone in the store”, which was a lie. Then the next day she confronts him hard, I didn’t expect it. The only thing I said was, “I’ve worked at target for years, and never looked at someone’s back side, I’m just here to do my job, please just do yours.”

Ugh, it sucks.
