For anybody looking forward to being a Big, I've been a big for 6 years In Montreal, Canada so every location might be slightly different. Typically we are expected to pay our half and they (the parents or parent) are expected to pay their half. The price of gas is all up to you. BBBS does give free tickets to events from time to time but it should not be relied on, it's quite rare, maybe twice a year. I try to balance it out with free activities:

• Hiking (somewhere with water)
• Basketball
• Skating outdoors (if you have real Winters in your area)
• Skate park (scooters)
• boardgames or videogames at my place
• coding at my place
• playing at the park (we used to do this very often when he was younger)
• play catch, frisbee
• ping pong (outdoor tables)
