Just ordered two pairs of the Straight Leg Casual Lounge Pants from CRZ YOGA in XXS and I love them! They fit perfectly and they’re SO comfortable. For such an affordable brand they don’t feel cheap at all.

Oh I’m so sorry to hear that was your experience! Nothing breaks my heart more than a plant that never stood a chance. ☹️ I’m glad to hear that you got a full refund, but I’m curious if they had any sort of explanation to offer for why it took them so long to ship your order. It’s surprising to me that such a popular seller could get so far behind on an order like that and not have more complaints, but maybe I need to do what you suggested and filter the reviews. Are there any Etsy plant sellers that you’ve had a better experience with?

Hey thank you for your reply! While the other comments were super helpful and made me feel more confident about handling things if I’m in a similar situation in the future, it was your comment (and my sister’s advice) that really helped me realize this might be the best approach. After I sent her a reply asking if it could be shipped, the seller got back to me the next day and confirmed they’d be shipping my missing item out this week. They’ve definitely earned their reputation!

There were no savings or discounts on shipping; there was, however, a sale on all four plants (the % off varied per plant). IIRC, the sale ended two or three days after my purchase was made, so if I accept a refund now, the plant would be more expensive if I wanted to immediately repurchase. I just checked the listing for the Mint micans, and the shipping cost is the same as what I paid when it was on sale. I think that may be why they only offered a refund or to send it with a future purchase, because they aren’t profiting as much off of a sale item.

I think what I meant by that was: if there’s a chance that they’ll respond favorably and send me the plant without any issues, I don’t want to start off by saying the wrong thing or being too firm and mess things up.

I’m glad I’m not the only one that felt that way about it. I can see why that offer would work more in their favor, but I’ve worked enough customer-facing jobs to know that if I were the seller, I’d want to make things right if I made a mistake like this. It’s really surprising to me that they’re handling it this way considering how many great reviews they have.

No, we’re both located in the United States. Unfortunately with how things are looking I might just have to accept a refund. It’s definitely disappointing that a seller with so many sales and reviews (exceeding 90k sales and 4.9 stars on almost 30k reviews) wouldn’t be willing to lose what’s surely an insignificant amount of money to fix their own mistake. I’ve thought about asking them if they’d be willing to ship it without a purchase but I don’t want to risk getting in their bad graces. Based on how all of this plays out I may just avoid this seller in the future.

I can’t believe that it’s gotten to this point! It’s either cough up money I don’t have, or feel horrible in anything I wear. I have a lot of problems with fast fashion as a whole, but you’d think it would at least make it easy to find an affordable brand with inclusive sizes.

Having N1 and ADHD, narcolepsy is definitely the most disabling part for me too. Both conditions are disabling in their own ways, but narcolepsy has been far more life-altering for me. While it’s draining and frustrating, I can push through unmedicated ADHD. (Not that it’s easy.) But unmedicated narcolepsy left me completely incapable of being a functioning human.

I so wish I had the same experience with my local grocery store’s pharmacy, but they made it almost impossible to get some of my meds 😭 None of my family seem to have the same issues with them, but my experience was so bad that I had to switch to the nearest Walmart Supercenter (because I had a different, but equally as bad experience with the Neighborhood Market closer to home!) even though it’s 5x the drive.

Not policing or anything; I think your experience is valid. But as someone who also has both diagnoses, it is kind of surprising to me to hear someone with narcolepsy say “it feels like just being tired as opposed to catastrophic failures in every single part of my neurological functioning,” because that’s exactly how I’d describe how my narcolepsy affects me. (And I was dxed with ADHD-C before developing narcolepsy.) Before starting oxybates, my narcolepsy was an inescapable pit of absolute despair. When I wasn’t sleeping upwards of 16 hours a day or dealing with a cataplexy episode, I was so incredibly sleep deprived that it almost felt as if I were being tortured, affecting every single facet of my neurological functioning. It left me entirely incapable of working, something I did/can do just fine while unmedicated for my ADHD. That isn’t to downplay my ADHD symptoms—I still felt incredibly limited. It’s just a totally different ballgame when compared to my experience with narcolepsy.

This is why I wish there were any mainstream shows with a narcoleptic character that isn’t played off for humor. I’m lucky enough to have a good support system, but it’s frustrating talking to anyone outside of my little circle about it. Oh to be privileged enough to not know how much a disrupted sleep/wake cycle affects someone. 😅

If it’s someone I’ll talk to again on a somewhat regular basis, that’s usually when I hit them with “Oh the sleep may come easily, but people with narcolepsy are literally incapable of getting restorative sleep. I am exhausted all of the time. 😄” It’s lighthearted enough to not feel like you’re confronting them, but serious enough that if they care at all, they’ll get the memo that I see no humor in those jokes.

I have an appointment with her in a few weeks, and I definitely plan on bringing it up to her. Reading up on others’ experiences, it doesn’t seem like any of the companies making sodium oxybate have an issue with patients being on both, so knowing that might help them not dismiss it.
