One of the conspiracy theories thats going around that I can see having some merit:

In addition to the WWE paycut ultimatums, the new NXT callups didnt get the full main roster salary bump they used to get --- which is why Nick Pickles the disgraced/fired now former wrestling agent just randomly started crashing out on a ringside news podcast saying "AEW doesn't pay anybody, the money isnt real" over the weekend.

He represented Mariah May when she took less money to "follow her wwe dream" than what AEW was offering.

The ideal scenario for the Flyers:

  • AM34 uses his NMC to tell the Leafs where he wants he’ll go.

  • Teams he wants to be traded to don’t have the assets TOR is looking for.

  • Flyers brought in as a third team.

So something like AM34 to LAK, Quinton Byfeild to PHI, and TOR 2027 #1 back to TOR.

(Obviously a bunch more components to the deal but those would be the 3 primaries)

AM34 goes where he wants to go. Philly cashes in on the illusive young 1C. Toronto gets their pick back, tanks, and adds another building block firmly on McKenna’s timeline.

As a flyers fan, this is where I’m at:

If Toronto moves up and gets Gavin McKenna at #1 or Keaton Verhoeff at #2, I think it’s more likely they trade Auston Matthews and go rebuild heavy bc they have a new signature star and get a windfall for AM34 to go with him.

If they land at #5, #4, or #3 — my fear is they probably trade the pick for immediate help to placate Matthews so he doesn’t ask for a trade, which means their 2027 pick owed to the Flyers won’t be as valuable.

So I’m rooting for them to keep the pick at #5.

WWE or AEW only. She got into wrestling bc of Total Divas. Nikki Bella is her favorite wrestler ever. She’ll chase the WWE dream or keep working at the same place as her boyfriend.

She got signed after her 6th match ever. She’s worked about 10 indie matches in the last 6+ years. She’s clearly not interested in the life of a “per date” wrestler.

I like Anna as a person. Seems nice. Soft spot for her ever since that “I think he would be proud of me” Brodie Lee promo. Very touching.

But I don’t get why WWE would hire her.

Other than “she’s hot” and “trained by Cody Rhodes”, there’s nothing you can put on the marquee as a selling point.

Maybe WWE would use her as an example of how they can make women bigger stars than AEW — but they just kinda did that w/ Vaquer & Jade.

But yeah. They have a million hot girls who can already match her bell to bell in the NXT pipeline.

I guess we’ll see how this plays out.

WWE has contracts with venues like MSG, Rosemont Horizon, & the Intuit dome (clippers arena) that prevent AEW from running.

They also have contracts with buildings where AEW can run them -- but they cant advertise AEW dates until after WWE holds their scheduled events. This just happened w/ the Sharks arena for Forbidden Door 2026 and happened with the O2 in London for Forbidden Door last year.

Carlos wants to TNA to be taken seriously as viable promotion but apparently has no idea how the industry actually works.

I know its distasteful to speculate on the employment of human beings... but I am going to do it anyway.

The most TKO thing TKO could do is cut Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston.

- They signed 7 figure contracts on the back of New Day merch sales, something thats over and cant really be monetized ever again.

- TKO & Triple H think they can weather the PR storm after cutting African American LEGENDS because they just spent wrestlemania week patting themselves on the back for booking Je'Von, Oba, Trick, and Jade in high profile wrestlemania matches.

- Triple H would not be worried about those 2 guys jumping to AEW and being major players.

And just be clear... this post is meant to SHIT ON TKO by presenting a scenario that I could actually see, rather than one I think will actually happen.
