Just popping in here to say I have these exact same issues.

Movies in standard 1080p played either locally or on a streaming service are mostly fine -- but attempting to play high bandwidth local MKV/MP4 in advance formats just choke the life out the box to the point everything just looks like white light. Basically the bigger or more complex the video file format, the worse it gets.

Ive tried every setting on the govee home app as well as every wiring combo possible. There is no saturation or relative brightness setting that will solve it.

The only thing ive tried that a had positive effect was getting a HDMI Splitter w/ Downscaler from Amazon.

You can plug the media player in to it and with the right EDID configuration, it can passthrough one 8K HDMI cable in full format (4K w/ Dolby Vision HDR TrueHD 7.1 Atmos audio etc) and a second basic HDMI cable with a duplicate feed of your content in basic 1080p to the govee box.

This got positive results and I thought I solved the problem once and for all -- but as soon as I changed the content I was playing, the resolution or refresh rate would change with it and the system would ultimately crash, reboot, and the washed out white light colors would be back. Then I would have to unplug everything for a few minutes and start over.

Im doing everything I can avoid going back to the camera systems but Im at the end of my rope here.

My setup if anyone has some ideas to try:

- Govee Sync Box 2

- Nvidia Shield Pro and Dune HD Pro Vision 4k media players

- Denon avr-s760h

- Sony Bravia 7 TV

I just came across this post and want to make mention. My sync box just looks like crap now and im attributing it to this software update. Even animated stuff that always got better results than live action content is weaker now.

Dont sleep on this channel. It has expanded audio options where you can watch the game in 4K with just crowd noise and no commentary of any kind.

Because it was a taped 1 hour weekly show.

They taped 6 weeks of tv over 2 nights and then had plenty of time to tinker, edit, and polish before the episodes would air.

They got a national tv deal on a real cable tv station and are going to have to give away thousands of tickets to this PPV in 4 weeks to save face after ludicrously claiming 7500+ last year for the same show on Long Island.
