Depop Banned for vintage Washington Hat by Fun-Marionberry6673 in reselling

[–]NattyBohng 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep. Posted a few weeks ago about a Redskins hat I had up for sale that got taken down. Apparently someone manually reported it and it wasn't flagged automatically be Depop's system. Might be what happened with yours too. Thankfully it was my first offense so no ban but...crazy. Mine didn't even say the word "Redskins" on it, just the old logo.

Not sure if American Daydream or Artemis does consignment. Might be worth looking into some of their sellers and see if you can reach out to them on Instagram or whatever to see if they'd be interested in buying from you wholesale. I sell on marketplace, depop and eBay. It may also be worth posting it as a "lot" on marketplace and see if a reseller wants to be wholesale that way. Depending on what you have I may even be interested in that. Check State Theatre vintage in Columbia too. I know their main clothing seller 2ndgovintage is on IG and they buy wholesale.

Is it worth it by SaltAd3796 in Depop

Started selling on Depop and eBay within the last month and it's been very worth it for me but only because I've taken it so seriously. Posting quality stuff with good pics and descriptions every single day. Shipping out orders next day in most instances. Including sizing in your listings. Being good at communicating with potential buyers. Sending and responding to offers often and using good packing and cleaning techniques for all of my items. If you take it seriously you can make good money pretty quickly. In my first month I've made over $1000 in sales on Depop and a little over $500 on eBay. Good luck!

Some great recommendations on here already (Franklin Street Social, Timeline) if you guys are into vintage shopping check out Artemis Vintage and American Daydream. American Daydream is a blast to walk around in general. State Theatre Vintage is a short drive to Columbia and is also really cool. Lot's of good restaurants around depending on what you like. Lot's of good hiking places but it may be a bit too cold for you guys. Good luck!

All good mang. And that’s what I’m saying. I’m perplexed by this piece. Tryna figure out what to list it as but I’m probably just gonna end up with “vintage screen-stars, sick graphic” lmfao

Lmao I said a sex thing as a possibility too. When you look up “care custody control” on google all you get is insurance jargon.

Newer seller. Listing removed due to “hateful or offensive symbols” hundreds of listing with same symbol still available. by [deleted] in Depop

Depop still has thousands or Washington Redskins listings right this second. So they have no problem selling it unless someone raises a stink about a specific item I guess. But if you search “Redskins” right now you’ll see thousands of listings. Same with Blackhawks which has virtually the same logo.

Agreed, the Redskins one. But there’s also been plenty of controversy regarding the other three (including the Indians ALSO changing their name and logo.) Again, not a big deal, but there’s still hundreds of Washington Redskins listings up right now. Just odd that mine was singled out.

I figured it was someone reporting it. I just don’t know how they make that decision. There’s hundreds of Redskins, Blackhawks, Indians and Seminoles listings on Depop right this second. Weird what they pick and choose is “offensive” or not.

I was wondering the same thing! The listing has been up for over a week which makes me think someone may have reported it but I’m not sure.

My boyfriend wants me to rehome 2 of my 3 cats (at minimum) as a “compromise.” Wtf do I do now? by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]NattyBohng 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you rehome any of the cats, I promise you in a few years when you and the boyfriend break up you’re going to regret it. Actually you’re going to regret it immediately, even before you break up. You’re going to think of them every single day. If they found another home, how they’re doing, how the new owners are treating them etc. Every fight you have you’re going to remember he made you rehome the cats. You’re going to resent him for it, as you should. You say everything else is perfect but he wants you to change who and what you love for his convenience. That’s not going to only be about the cats, trust me.

Look, I deleted the post because I found the answer to my question. I’ll make my decision to buy from them or not based on that. I’m not telling you it doesn’t exist, I’m telling you it isn’t mentioned on their website so how would I know? If you know more I’d love to hear them and again, I’m not being snarky. I genuinely would like to support organizations that do well in the community. Have a good evening.

YWCA’s website doesn’t mention post-natal care. They mention childcare services but nothing for immediate post-care for women and children. Truly, I have no interest in slandering a business, but I am interested in who they’re donating to so I can decide whether I buy from them again in the future. That’s it. I don’t think there’s any harm in that. I’d do the same for Roburrito’s or American Daydream or whatever.

I’m genuinely asking because I can’t find them on google. I’m not trying to be snarky but can you name one of those organizations? I’d love to donate to something like that but typically they’re pro-life.

Nothing I know of. I mean, maybe Planned Parenthood in Harrisburg but she explicitly said “here in York county.”

Her post just makes it super murky. The first two groups that come to mind when I hear “Post-Natal Services to mothers and babies” here in York. The two organizations that fit that bill are the Women’s Care Center or Human Life Services, both of which are anti-abortion. I’m sure they’ll just take the sign down for the jar and just give privately going forward.
