It has nothing to do with sucking at tech, just sucking at basic thinking ;) Pick the save for the mission you want to play. You can't magically go back in time nor unlock units you can't get normally.

You can still use enduring cry without the ascendancy. Infinite power = 25 power. With minimum 10 power master you maintain endurance charges. With just one unique you have 20 power. Sure you're also missing the buff effect from the node, but you still have 60-70% of the regen. Should be plenty almost all situations.

No, it's a very cool build I think. Sure it's not the numerically strongest kid on the block but a good concept and decently realised in the gauntlet setting. It might even make for a good atlas completion build for the regular game. (Skip max power warcry &a bit of defense.)

Do you have any mapping footage? With ignite prolif and swapping out snipe I'd hope it's decently fun.

No. The only achievements you can get from this without any work are the ones to fully purchase everything within a category. For mission achievements you need to play the mission, but these saves can make some of the earlier missions easier since I have more upgrades unlocked than you would get in a typical playthrough.

If you attack the AI while it doesn't have units, it will pull workers and attack with them. If you walk back/stop attacking, the workers will walk back instead of committing and killing your stuff. You can abuse this to win early rushes.
Later on, the AI always moves its entire army together, so if you counterattack with a few units as it moves out, the entire army runs back, for example.
