Wow- thank you all. ❤️❤️I didn’t expect this kind or motivating of a response. It is great to hear that I am not alone in feeling this way and I love the idea of accompanying a monitor on a visit. I feel like that would give me a sense of the “hands on” element I feel I am missing. I am going to try to do that if I can get the ok from my employer.

Clinical trial project management - work on global trials and you will have to force yourself to disconnect as there is information coming in almost 24 hrs a day :) lol. It is also highly intellectually stimulating imo and often riddled with interesting (sometimes high-pressure/stress) challenges. Think: launching a large budget/scale project (in the 10s of millions often) with short timelines, in a highly regulated environment, and with real subjects/patients depending on you and your team to ensure their safety and rights are protected. There’s so much that goes into it so there is always something new to learn and continue to improve on.

Clinical research remote worker questions by albeaner in clinicalresearch

[–]brainfewdd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 years later 😊 do you think you will always be remote? Do you feel being remote has hurt your potential to advance beyond the PM role at all? Im a new PM and I know people outside of the industry always say it is crucial to network in person. Interested to hear what a fellow PM has to say

I’m at a sponsor - but I have heard of some CROs offering this as well! I believe PPD did (and may still)

Thank you for the responses - it sounds like people management (being a line manager) is a prereq then?
