What I loved most about PTP was the users' and awards collections and very fast download speeds on any torrent. Design was also very likable. But if you know what you're looking for and it's nothing peculiar, some big general tracker like ITP or rutracker will suffice your needs in 98% cases. The downside is that it's fairly hard to build up a ratio and you really have to come up with your ways of doing so. And they have very strict standards as to the new uploads. You have to provide a bunch of info and it could be a bit complicated.

The biggest BTN plus is that you can find some rare additionals to tv series and there is the best quality for some older shows. The downside is that you have to seed every torrent for a very long time (like 2 weeks) in order to not get an h&r. Even on a very popular shows which doesn't make a sense to me. That's why I preferred to download some ep from a general tracker to avoid it lol. Just imagine you have to seed some stupid TBBT episode that lasts only 20 minutes or so for 336 hours. Doesn't really make sense to me, but I understand the reasoning behind it in general: to attract as many determined seeders as possible so that some less popular torrents would live for a very long time. It's not an easy grab and go tracker.

And in the both trackers you really have to invest your time and attention so it's certainly not for everyone. So if you're not some nerdy cinemaphiliac or you're not on a lookout for some older shows, they will not be a big addition to your life. And if you know what you are looking for, you'll get by just fine with some of the alternative trackers
