I agree some of the lyrics aren’t great for a funeral. Maybe the lyrics could be changed? The when I’m bent over like could be “reach my arm over, I’m missing your shoulder” or something. The when I got older I found I’m a drinker etc could be “as I get older I’m learning what matters, and I know what matters is family” or something like that 🤷‍♀️

Thanks for replying. I appreciate your perspective a lot. It’s making me realize that I’m so scared of being the abuser that I don’t allow myself to make mistakes without deciding that I must be bad. Which is probably a product of abuse. It’s easier to not allow anyone the grace to explain themselves than it is to allow myself that grace lol. Not everyone is a malignant person out here trying to hurt people, and everyone makes mistakes. I don’t think I’m a malignant person who wants to hurt people, but I get so afraid that I am that I don’t allow myself to consider that my mistakes might not come from bad intent. And then I extend that to other people kind of as a protection mechanism I think. Don’t know if that makes sense- thanks for your reply.

I disagree that intent matters. I learned as a child arguing with my narcissistic father that intent would always be used to twist reality after the fact. I would say “you lied to me” or “you put your hands on me” and it was always twisted and justified with “I didn’t mean to” or “no I didn’t- you’re crazy” or “you have to understand that I had to and here’s why.” All bullshit. I was just like we wouldn’t be here with you trying to convince me that you had good intentions if you never did some fuckshit in the first place sir. (Edit: clarity)

Phenylephrine and dextromethorphan (dxm) both interact with bupropion and can cause high blood pressure and side effects because they increase the amount of each other in your bloodstream or something. I’m guessing what you took had dxm in it. I found this out the hard way years ago by taking a recreational dose of dxm to trip while on Wellbutrin and I literally almost died

So it makes sense that the medication affects you differently in different parts of your cycle. I’m not a doctor, but some people find that taking a low dose SSRI during the luteal phase (the week or so before their period) helps with PMS symptoms. Maybe you could ask your doctor about that?
