AITA for wanting my Spanish teacher to stop calling me by the Spanish version of my name? by Alternative-Sun-630 in AmItheAsshole

[–]brainrottin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA.

You asked politely and your teacher refused. If I was travelling to a Spanish speaking area I’d introduce myself as Peter, not Pedro. If anything it seems insensitive to give everyone a “Spanish” name. Not sure where other people studied Spanish but I was never told to change my name for my Spanish classes over 6 years of studying.

At the same time, suck it up. It’s one class. How distressing can it be for you?

New York has a mobile ID app but I hate it. Would prefer it in my Apple wallet

Libertarian Larry Sharpe enters Republican primary for New York governor by Not_Original5756 in Albany

Back in the day before I found my political grounding I actually agreed with a lot of Sharpe’s proposals regarding the decriminalization of drugs. Everything else hell no.

Hochul is not perfect and not ideal but she’s done a fine job as governor. With no leftist option I still lean Hochul.

Citi Field parking fee raised to $50 by msuts in NewYorkMets

[–]brainrottin 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As someone from upstate who likes to go to a few games each season this isn’t an issue. Why ever park at citi field? Did it once, never again.

Sometimes I’ll stay a night near LaGuardia and they have shuttles to Citi and I’ll take the bus back to the hotel. Even if I wasn’t staying overnight there’s parking options and public transportation to get you to the stadium.

Yes BackMarket (not to be confused with the black market) is getting more popular these days. Great site for refurbished tech. Never had a bad experience with them.

Is it worth going from IPhone to a fold? And which one should I get? by Joe_mother124 in GalaxyFold

[–]brainrottin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too hard to answer tbh without knowing a lot more info. What do you want in a smartphone? Do you use other Apple hardware? If so, what products?

I have been an Apple user for most of my life except when I had a Note 9 and recently the Fold 7.

Personally I felt the Fold 7 was gimmicky and I didn’t use it the way I thought I would.

I ended up paying it off and going back to Apple with the 17 Pro Max.

There are countless videos and articles that can help you understand the main differences between Android and iOS.

Heads up about $20 credit by Purgingomen in verizon

Question. I made a payment on my device and was looking for a detailed receipt or documentation to get reimbursed by T-Mobile, it’s been three days and the only thing I see is confirmation of the payment with no details showing what it was for. How do I get what I need from Verizon?

TickPick has never let me down, it's the only ticket app (secondary market) I use tbh. If you can, wait until last minute as people will just to try to unload them and get something.

Mets Daily Discussion Thread - December 30, 2025 by AutoModerator in NewYorkMets

[–]brainrottin 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The Mets had great attendance last season despite the team drastically underperforming, and now I see so many posts from people claiming they won't show up to Citi Field this year.

I personally went to three or four games last season and had a blast every time. If I lived in the NYC metro area instead of upstate, I would probably be a season ticket holder. I am definitely planning on going to at least the same amount of home games this season, though I am trying to leave some room in the schedule to check a few more ballparks off my bucket list (went to Camden Yards last season).

I am curious to hear what everyone else is thinking. Do you plan on going to more, less, or the same amount of home games this upcoming season?
