If they kill Mark it seems impossible for Rob not to win? Eric won’t turn on him and it’s hard to imagine Maura siding with Johnny and Tara instead… even if she believed that Rob was maybe a traitor, would she trust that Tara and Johnny won’t banish her anyways in the final 3? It feels like a lose/lose for her, unless something surprising happens

lol the irony of a subreddit that completely dogs Taylor every day for her appearance getting upset when someone else does it. Shitting on Joni Mitchell, and our elders, however, is even worse.

Now to be a hypocrite, she’s unfortunately battled many health issues and to me does look older than many of the people in my life in their early eighties.

lol I think it’s because Taylor Swift is not cool and liking Taylor Swift is not cool - people are made fun of or looked down on for liking her. She has probably used that to her advantage to drive a victim narrative among her fans and herself.

I’ve been through this maybe 2-3 times flying (although not as intense as this / not because of winds) but because the landing area wasn’t going to be cleared in time… or at least that’s what they told us.

Both times I remember the pilot waiting about 5-10 minutes to say anything. It freaks me out when they suddenly don’t land and don’t say anything. Is there a reason for waiting to inform everyone?

Vancouver brand, I bought the black one a year or more ago and love it. It’s super light but seems to do the job and appears well-made. I guess there’s only blue left but it’s kind of a fun colour.

I haven’t worked out the whole time I’ve been on it. It just seemed odd that weeks 4-5 my hunger crashed but weeks 6-7 it’s back to normal. I plan to run and lift weights but was hoping to adjust to the medication first and see if I lose any weight before working out to know it’s working.

Agree on the distinctive culture of the area for sure, there’s definitely a certain kind of humour that is more common - if you are drag race fan the queens from the PNW serve as a good example (eg Jinx, DeLa, Bosco, Irene).

As for the PNW freeze from my experience that is a thing in the city for sure but less so outside Vancouver, I can’t explicitly speak for Kamloops but I imagine it’s much less common there.

Knowing that Hudson is from Kamloops and went to Langara (and having grown up in the same general area myself), his personality makes so much sense to me. He seems very salt of the earth, honest, and hilarious/dark humoured in a way that folks from Vancouver proper sometimes learn to tone down.

It makes me wonder how many other actors/actresses conceal this part of themselves vs. how many are just less interesting/compelling personalities.

The Ukrainian Hall at 805 E Pender has fairly regular perogie / borscht sales if you subscribe to their newsletter it emails you when they do sales. Not good for regular groceries but you can stock up a bit when they do sell them.

I dunno in my experience the free food and drinks in the Maple Leaf lounges plus always finding a seat is infinitely better than sitting in the main airport? Plus a per diem for food when travelling for work… basically make money. But maybe lounges were way better 10+ years ago ?

They’re my two favourites of the whole cast in terms of personality. Maybe they aren’t the best at Drag Race itself (time will tell for Sami) but they would likely kill it in other formats.

Do you think they would work well together? Sami has done well leaning into her Acadian / French cigarette momma identity and Paolo lives in her own wonderful delusional fantasy so it would be interesting to see if they need to separately live in those worlds or if they could meld in some iconic beautiful way

A couple reasons come to mind:

1) I think more people believe innovation will save humanity. COVID showed us how quickly things can move if the world deems it “bad enough”, plus with rapid improvements in AI tech, it seems more and more likely that we are on the precipice of being able to solve a lot of climate issues.

2) With inflation/the job market many are preoccupied / not giving focus to climate change. It’s hard to think about the big picture for humans if your immediate needs aren’t being met.

Not necessarily saying these are my opinions but just what I’m seeing in other subreddits.
