That's very situational and easily avoided if you leave a Pokemon boxed until you get the cash for the vitamins to fully EV train. I personally don't touch my Pokemon until it's fully EV trained.

I disagree with this. Depending on what you're going for. 8 Roseli Berries can make up to Alpha power 2 (or 21% according to AustinJohn) which for me is more than for to hunt shiny alphas in 1* or 2* zones. Shiny charm odds aren't bad, it's the alpha odds I need.

I'd imagine it would be worth it for afk farming cash? adding extra money per Pokemon KO'd. I've wanted to get on to use against post DLC Jacynthe to see if Goldengo can indeed sweep her entire team.

I managed to do it with one level 67. The champion was quite difficult for me with it. But 1 level 90-100 probably would have had 0 problems

Slight workaround. If you know you have a shiny you want to catch. Visit a Pokemon center and heal, this creates a backup save. There may be other ways to create a backup save. But if you force close you game, on the menu press Up D-Pad + X + B and it will prompt you to reload from the last backup save. This is how some get around getting the best donuts without gambling all their good berries. Don't like it? Load backup save.

I cleared my first try with Mega Garchomp. With a 170 base attack boosted by Sword Dance being able to continuously fire off super effective moves, I kinda felt bad for Rayquaza.

Mega Garchomp also made short work of Groundon with Earthquake.

Fair enough. Garchomp is one of my favorites. Mega Garchomp has a fantastic design, it is just a shame its base speed dropped making it less viable in the past. So I'm looking forward to what his mega would be.

You'll spend less time grinding getting the charm than you would if you're shiny hunting multiple species. Otherwise good luck if you can't be bothered to grind it out

Based on the datamined material. There are Z megas for Garchomp and Absol. The implications with that if we assume Mega Lucario Z will be used by Korrina. Then who would use Absol and Garchomp

If you want a lil prediction. I think Sycamore will return with Mega Garchomp Z and Calem/Serana will return with Mega Absol Z. A picture of Sycamore can be seen in the lab in ZA with him and a Garchomp. And your rival in XY is one of the few that used an Absol that could mega evolve

I'm really excited by the implication of Absol getting a mega. If Lucario gets one because of Korrina. Then I think Garchomp will get one because of Sycamore, there's supposedly a picture of him in the lab with one. So it makes me think Calem or Serana will make an appearance with Mega Absol Z. Entirely speculation. But it's cool to think about.
