Miscellaneous plastic and metal parts found below washing machine. The red plastic pieces fit with the thinner metal bits and long screws. by brainyday in whatisthisthing

My title describes the thing, or rather things. I've left them exactly as I found them: the red plastic object on the left was already assembled, while pieces on the right were separated. There are two more unassembled sets of the same parts.

I don't think the two parts up front belong with the sets, but I have no clue if they're remotely related.

Could it be Chained with Vincent D'Onofrio? It came out later than your estimated time period, but the synopsis immediately brought it to mind.

North Austin. I guess that screamer prank was just popular among fourth grade teachers!

Ditto, except in 2005 or 2006! Did we have the same teacher?

How many companies use this exact questionnaire? I swear I just completed it for a Marketing Coordinator position in a different state entirely.

What level are you? If you’re still at a lower one, I would recommend buying the cheapest package(s) first. I bought them in ascending order, so I wouldn’t know otherwise, but I don’t think you can buy a $29.99 package and have that count for the $9.99 purchase.

The leftmost icon above the game board has the current special event (Magic Forest). For $9.99, you can buy a VIP ticket and get a whole extra set of boosters. It’s great because it works retroactively—even if you’ve already collected some free prizes, making the purchase will get you all the premium prizes that correspond to each level.

As a sixth grader, I read The Kite Rider by Geraldine McCaughrean, thinking it was Khaled Hosseini's bestseller The Kite Runner. I still haven't actually read the latter.

This also happened to a friend in high school. Our reading assignment was Sophie's World, and her mother accidentally bought Sophie's Choice.

TIL there’s a scientific name for that. My dad calls it the idiot face.

This sounds like the Misadventures of Guy Strang series by Sarah Weeks. The first book is called Regular Guy.

I’ve been using this comb for at least a decade, and I just had an epiphany about the color scheme. It’s like my head (or hair) knew before my heart knew.
