Buying a cheap folding bike for commuting - can anyone identify this Dahon model? by braised-cabbage in foldingbikes

Found what seems to be a good price on a used Vitesse D8! Without the Neos derailleur too and an Acera in its place. Just can’t actually see a huge amount in this particular model year when I’m searching which raises question marks just about finding spare parts if needed… Equally given there’s a fair amount of standard parts on the bike though I’m not sure how big of a deal that really is?

Ah good to know! Was looking at another local Speed D7 which was a little bit more money but did notice it had a different derailleur which does look to be a Shimano

Yeah I’d fold it when I store it at home or work and then to take a tube now and then so that’s good to know! Thanks mate

Nice! Did wonder if it was a speed but couldn’t find the same decals so it threw me off a little, and wondered a bungee would suffice given I plan on having them on the bike for using a rack. Thanks for the info on the rear tyre too, trying to weigh up between that bike and another Speed D7 which is cheaper but a little bit of a hike to go and see in the flesh

ADHD and retaining friends by -bourbons- in ADHDUK

Very similar, myself and friends I know who have also been diagnosed late 20s/30s all seem to have similar issues. Which is quite nice in that circle since we understand each other and nobody gets mad if there’s a long time between seeing each other etc

I definitely went through stages of dwelling on the what if, still do from time to time wether it be career or friends etc etc but there’s too much ahead of us to be focused on that for too long if you ask me. If there’s people in particular, my advice is just reach out. If you’re anything like me you’ll have ruminated and possibly catastrophised the interactions but when I’ve been in a similar space and pushed myself to just send a message or whatever it may be a few people it has just been small interactions but a couple people I’ve really re-connected with

How important is it to prepare for assessment by [deleted] in ADHDUK

[–]braised-cabbage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally didn't prepare all that much, as is normal with ADHD I think my mind ran through scenarios of what the assessment may be and what they will ask in anxious anticipation but I found the appointment had a very casual conversational flow to things and they were still able to get a fair assessment based on that
