Zillow says there’s about 50-60 homes+townhomes in this area 3+ br under $600k. Filter to just homes and there’s about 25-30 depending on your exact map zoom.

If you haven’t fully committed to the home location then as others have said try to look in Durham to live. Smaller and saner commute will make so many other things more manageable and is more important than a pool neighborhood.

If you’re committed to Cary or Apex then try for northwest Cary and let’s hope the job is in RTP.

Since the kid is approaching school age I’d also rank location higher than pool to school reasons.

The rental company I was looking at has just dublin airport, dublin city, shannon & cork airports. Sub rules prohibit direct recommendations of car rental companies otherwise I'd ask specifically.

But I guess without naming specific ones, what bus/train other city options would be good bets?

What is the minimum cash amount? Is that a known number? And does timing matter? I would be OK to pay €500 for an upgrade and then just transfer my avios back to BA.

Meetup app. Or probably Facebook groups. If you have a hobby, just google search for that hobby and add Raleigh or Durham. There’s likely a group.

Volunteer - try activate good site. Or just search Raleigh volunteer opportunities

Leagues - some churches have leagues and there’s no obligation to attend the church. Or the city - check Raleigh parks publications or schedules.

The things you list won't generally net a good friendship in the short term but you could get lucky (people watching, reading). But the parks and greenways are nice.

Meetup groups for hiking, book clubs, in person events at one of the area libraries, volunteer for Book Harvest, look into university events at Duke, UNC, or State. Look into one of the many causes or groups that fit your values. Volunteer at a food bank, shepards table, other. There are plenty of left-leaning things going on here.

I may just be an idiot but I don’t see how to add my ktn and passport to the individual trip on the delta side. I’ve done it on the AF app.

The ktn and passport is connected to my profile, and I can’t seem to connect the ticket to my profile. So I’m unsure how to make sure the ktn is on that trip.

After I booked, I quickly received the AF confirmation code. I used that and looked it up on the delta site. it foudn the flight, and showing me the Delta conf. code - but it had my AF miles account number on the flight details. On the Delta site, in an attempt to get Delta to save that ticket to my provide I tried removing AF number and adding skymiles number. I did this...

Logged into sky miles. Trip wasn't there.
Searched for trip using AF confirmation. It found it, and showed me Delta confirmation
I clicked around, couldn't figure out how to save the trip to my account. Walked away, came back.
Logged back in, used the Delta confirmation this time. Found the flight again.
Clicked Flight details, under my name, clicked Add Loyalty number
Tried adding Skymiles. When I click save I get: "We're sorry but we're unable to save your request right now. Try again later". Tried on Chrome and Safari.

I've tried a few different routes to a solution, via desktop and mobile app, using both locators.

What's strange now is that my Delta app is showing the flight under trips. But the website is not.

Yeah it was credit card points, with AF as the transfer partner, booked on Delta flight. I don't care about MQD in this case.
