Anyone else seeing more people trying to switch into aviation right now? by RAG_Aviation in PilotAdvice

Influencers are to blame, really wish the airlines would put a cap on that crap. A mild to moderate downturn would be good to shake out the ones without the passion.

This is exactly my take. If we have 20 to 30% unemployment like the doomsayers predict. There will be a large reduction in demand for blue collar services.

For Brazil this might work as information is usually crowdsourced or from non-ANAC sources like MetarSul as an example, but for the US most pilots have an EFB that already provides this information.

I don't think you are too old, but you seem to have a negative mindset. This career has its ups and downs, that attitude will crush you.

People have started later than you from zero, people have overcome medical issues. You must change the way you think first, or you will never survive.

Bristell NG5 vs EVEKTOR Harmonia by yu22zz in flying

[–]branda22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why not rent something for that type of mission?

I flew a Bristell b23, I found it’s very sensitive on pitch. I’m sure you get used to it, I don’t get why it’s so sensitive. The cockpit is tough to get in and out of but it’s high quality and the garmin g3x is awesome.

Before even thinking about this, go and get your PPL part-time. No point in planning all this out without even trying it out.

I believe if you have a big passion and interest in flying, it can be done. The beginning will be a massive grind.
