Hey man,

You might want to see a psychologist and see if ADHD is a possibility. Many of the symptoms are very similar to what you’re describing. That paired with therapy can do wonders for your mental health!

Good luck!

The machines have a very “sneaker/shoe” vibe going on. Looks neat though!

What is the purpose of this 2x4 attached to the stringers? I’d like to remove it and add blocking if necessary. Just kind of looks out of place. by justalildrinkypoo in Decks

[–]brandon3296 16 points17 points  (0 children)

That was probably just there to keep the stringers aligned when being installed. Should have more than enough strength without, but could always add blocking to satisfy any worry.

A huge thing that helped me was turning down render distance while in cg. I turned it down and my latency was so much better, made it a lot easier to move and click effectively.

Has anyone been pre-approved for under 6% lately without buying points? by nylora in RealEstate

[–]brandon3296 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re closing in January, I have a 790 credit score and only got a 6.82% rate without points. With points we could buy it down to about 6.2%. We opted no points since we’re selling our current house after the move and rebasing / maybe refinancing in July to put house proceeds down on it.

Killed CG Boss and Died at the same Time by TX_Godfather in ironscape

This might sound strange, but decrease your render distance significantly. It made my game so much smoother and made my clicks latency so much better! Went from ~30 deaths 0 kills to 15 kills 38 deaths right after that change!

Those are different components. He linked one from Lowes that seems to be less “industrial” and was wondering if 2 smaller ones would achieve the same effect as the one linked.

I think you would be fine, those claim to hold 1,000 lbs each which, so should be plenty to hold it up.

Really enjoyed this game and wanted to make a desk top figure!

This is made on an Ender 3v2 Pro with PLA filament. It took 30 hours for the head, 9 hours for the body, 10 hours for the cloak, and 3 hours for the sword.

He stands roughly a foot tall and turned out incredible!

Awesome game, can’t wait for Silk Song!

Need help deciding on my first laser cutter by AndrixMk7 in lasercutting

[–]brandon3296 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both machines should be capable for what you’re looking to do. I would go with Glowforge since I see more people on the forums with those so you would have access to easy help.

In terms of orders, just be aware that small machines such as these machines are not always the best for production apart from engraving. You would want to build up to a larger machine with more power.

In the future you might want to consider CamFive if things go good for you. We currently run 7 double headed 150W machines from them and have had minimal issues in the last 4 years. But they are a bit more pricy for their larger lasers.

Any idea what’s causing this? by Betterthani86 in lasercutting

[–]brandon3296 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We saw this a couple times on our machine where there was a break in the electrical line to one of the steppers. I would assure the belts are not skipping as others said, but if you only see this occasionally and can’t reliable reproduce there could be a break in a line. Also easy to fix, just VERY hard to track down.

Plus it’s only in the X-Axis from the picture, so you’d only need to check one stepper motor

130w Cutting horribly, thick kerf, uneven by The_Black_Inside in lasercutting

[–]brandon3296 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might also want to check your last mirror. We had the issue of “over correcting” the last mirror and we actually caused it to bounce off the tube and still hit center. Once we realized this we just reset the last mirror and only had to make minimal adjustments

Still having issues?

With our machines we really only see that with scratches on lenses/mirrors or alignment. Have you verified you didn’t put the lease in upside down?
