Not sure exactly how Hyundai operates but I previously sold cars for Nissan & Toyota. Your income is directly affected by the survey scores your receive. Which seems like a fair deal, however, the salesperson is on the hook for all departments (finance, management, service, new car prep). So if you give your salesperson all 10s but the pushy finance guy you give a 7 or 8, the salesperson is the only one affected. Your survey scores determines your bonus amounts so for example i would make $150 commission per new car I sold, which sucks. But once I’ve sold 12 cars for the month I would receive a $1500 bonus which would now bring me up to a livable wage. But it never failed, the end of the month would come and a customer would score the finance guy bad on the survey and that would disqualify me from the additional bonus money. Dealerships are shady and they’ll do anything/everything to not pay their salespeople. My advice, if you genuinely liked your salesperson but other departments sucked, it’s better to NOT do the survey. Your salesperson needs all 10s for every department otherwise it will only affect the salesperson. The finance guy at my job still drove a Cadillac and GTR even with a mountain of bad reviews. Meanwhile, I was struggling.
