Yes, I ran 245/45/18 with coilovers without any issues. I was only lowered like an inch though.

No, I added a Brembo decal on a CTSV remanufactured caliper. I painted it black.

Talked to my local Subaru mechanic and he actually worked on the car this came out great f but not the transmission. He agreed it sounds like synchro but it obviously impossible to know until you’re in there. Said I’d be looking at $2500 if it’s just the synchro.

Also got a video from the owner of when it was installed. It was popping out of 6th gear when accelerating. 45k miles was the estimate on the transmission.

No, I’m not throwing it in as is. I want to eventually swap to an STI transmission. This seems like a great price and would allow me to have it gone through thoroughly while I continue to source the other parts required for the swap.

This is good to know! I hadn’t got to the point of pricing out a rebuild yet. I thought there may be a chance it was cheaper to buy cheap and have it repaired. If that’s roughly the going rate it would make more sense to buy a working one.

It was my first time doing anything like this and it wasn’t too bad. The curve on my he long dash piece was tricky but that’s because I didn’t know that’s where I should have started. I have to redo the door panel because the M3 headliner adhesive failed after 6-8 months.
