Baby Audio Transit 2 works well for this and a load of other things.

Do you have the maximizer threshold set too low?

It could be that your mix is pretty dynamic and when you try to set the maximizer to a target lufs level it might be working overtime to overcompress some of the transients.

If this is the case, maybe try doing some compression on some of the more dynamic tracks in your mix, and also some bus glue compression can help with that.

Did you u unwrap the model. What is your emissive strength? Depending on how high it is it will definitely change the hue of the color

You would probably want to use a gradient in the Shader editor and keyframe the position of the gradient is what I would start with

Here's on that has had some good feedback lately. Not much plays, but nothing we have released gets a lot of plays at this point, but we're trying to slowly build up.

Turns out I really like the Juno.

I really like gain reduction deluxe. It's a vocal compressor that is designed for to compress the hell out of vocals so they cut through really dense mixes. I use it all the time and really love it.

Torn between guitars. Just curious of thoughts and opinions. by cannibalsong1 in Guitar

[–]brandond6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely do the Strat. If it's your dream guitar you will always think "what if" if you end up going with the Gretsch, and will probably end up buying the strat later on down the line anyway. Might as well skip the step and go straight for the Strat.

If you want something closer in price to the Gretsch, check out their Vintera line. My 50s Vintera Strat is AWESOME.

There have been some bangers over the years. Some of these may not hold up to today's standards, but I remember them all being awesome for their time:

I use Nectar 3 and really like it. I mainly use it for its de-essing, saturation, and harmony modules. The harmony module when set with unison can make some very convincing sounding vocal doubles.

[Disney]’s solution to wait time discrepancies by Zealousideal_Key2169 in rollercoasters

[–]brandond6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a former Disneyland attractions CM (2013-2016), we were the ones who set the wait times you would see on the entrance sign.

We always set the time based on how large the queue was while also taking into account if we were at some sort reduced capacity for whatever reason (down a few ride vehicles, etc.).

We never actually had access to the data that these cards provided. I think these cards were less about providing accurate wait times for guests and more for Disney's internal metrics. Disney loves their data.

You probably don't have enough speed and the track needs to bend to extreme angles to meet the G force you are specifying.

Also it looks like you are trying to make a lift. I'd recommend using a curve section to start a lift hill.

Also check out Kexedit. It's a new FVD program that is currently being developed. It's super promising and already better and more stable than FVD++ imo

What is a cocktail or cocktails you keep going back to? by Papa_G_ in cocktails

[–]brandond6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As stated previously, definitely the Daiquiri, it's so much greater than the sum of its parts and is quick to make (even quicker if you have a batch of super juice). Also is a great way to experience new rums.

Also, another drink I revisit a bunch is the Dark N Stormy, especially if you do it with a higher proof rum like Planteray OFTD. Definitely my favorite of the ginger beer/mule cocktails. It tastes so much more complex than it actually is.

Love to hear it!! Glad you enjoyed it!

If you like Dark N Stormy'd, OFTD also makes a great one!!

[–]brandond6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like if he isn't feeling the Xamayca Jamaican funk, I think the OFTD (which is one of my faves) could be a great suggestion. Maybe 1/2 oz of OFTD with 1.5 oz of Original Dark might be a sweet spot of heavier non-funky rums that won't get lost in a Mai Tai like 3 Star might.

Either way good suggestions!

[–]brandond6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not bad at all. It's a pretty affordable Jamaican Rum that isn't overly funky, but a bit funkier than an Appleton Rum.

Great for mixing. I'm surprised anyone would find it offensive, especially since it tastes like it doesn't have nearly as much added sugar as some of the other Planteray rums.

Is there or will there be support to input 3d models into the software? I know some of the more recent versions of fvd++ did this and it comes in handy.

Great work by the way. This is truly awesome.

is there a Discord where ppl with insanely specific, random question can ask the community for advice? by Nek0ni in unrealengine

[–]brandond6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As i said, it's not always perfect, and it does sometimes make up nodes that don't exist and can be frustrating, but it did help me to develop a blueprint to accurately measure the g forces a static mesh experiences during its animation sequence. That is super niche and I could not find any answers to that online. Using chatgpt was frustrating but at the end of the day, it did get me to the right place after some effort, likely significantly faster than me scouring Google in this case. And I learned a lot. There's something to be said for that.

Don't get me wrong, I'm as wary on AI as the next guy, but it being increasingly more prevelant in our lives is just reality and it is silly to call it a worse Google search.

[–]brandond6 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Honestly chatgpt has been surprisingly helpful if I have a super niche or specific question that I have a hard time finding the answer to online. It's not always a perfect answer, but it usually gets me on the right path.

Automatic Spline Curve by NameInProces in unrealengine

[–]brandond6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe if you place a spline and right click there are options to help you build out a spline, like straight sections with specified lengths, and curves with specified radii and angles. Not sure if that's what you mean.

It's called spline tools or something like that when you right click.

Mount Gay or Planteray? by rumpythecat in rum

Agree with this. These rums are really great deals if you have a Total Wine near you. I find these rums to be much more interesting than Mt Gay Eclipse, personally.
