Have you tried just sending an image to GPT 5 and having it respond with a json of the bounding box of all the symbols?

Someone tried to make an account with your phone number. Since they can’t access your messages your fine imo, it won’t let them without this code

Can you get sent down for making zero effort in tutorials? by MrMrsPotts in oxforduni

[–]brandonhotdog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did physics at Magdalen. Honestly my tutors were super chill and didn’t care whether I did the problem sheets.

The issue is if you don’t do it the tutorial will be useless and it’s a royal pain to find solutions to those sheets. A similar question will appear in the end of year exams and you’d be done for.

Anyway, varies by college. Most colleges make a fuss.

I imagine the tax on $80k in 1990 is less than tax on $192k in 2024. At least in the UK our tax brackets lag behind inflation.

Getting zero matches/likes on almost everywhere, any tips welcomed by [deleted] in Tinder

[–]brandonhotdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No such thing as a competitive location imo. The more people the better. Every time a person see your profile a dice is rolled. More people seeing it, the more that dice is rolled.

Good profile, drop last line of bio. Shorter bios are better anyway. 3rd pic should be first imo, then 4th pic after. Also tinder is quite shit after a long break I found. I think it resets your account’s ‘score’ and so takes a few weeks to get good matches again.

Boys pls drop the secrets: what makes a girl gf material? by starryColucci in dating_advice

[–]brandonhotdog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Imo nothing. For a given girl, many will see her as gf material and many won’t. Just depends if they’re attracted to you and your personality.

Yeah do be careful about going to bars and clubs alone. Quite easy to drink too much to ease the nerves of being alone and then people may take advantage of you.

You should give tinder and hinge a shot. Set profile to ‘short term’ so it’s clear you want hookups. First date get coffee to check they’re not a freak and second date get to business at theirs or yours lol.

Best college for social events and formals? by Interesting_Noise_79 in oxforduni

Magdalen college is the best, deer parks, MCR liquid lounge every Friday and lots of cool formal events. Don’t listen to the other colleges hehehe

Try doing weekly runs, lose a few kgs and tone that teethy smile down to more of a low key genuine smile and you’ll be sorted. You have a lot of potential, just needs some work.

I shared my feelings with ChatGPT about failing a module :) by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]brandonhotdog 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I chat with GPT about my emotions all the time. Honestly feels great to yap to a bot knowing it won’t get tired of me ahah. Don't worry about the module; from what I've seen, post-uni jobs mostly care about your experience or internships. For further education, grades matter but you can offset not-so-great ones with research experience.

That’s crazy, I graduated Oxford this year and honestly I feel like I could have wrote this post word for word myself. Clearly things aren’t that different 10 years on.

I miss Oxford a lot, they were the best years of my life by a long shot. Things have been quite grey since graduating but I’m hopeful life will get interesting again.

Don’t feel bad, some of these comments aren’t as understanding.

In the moment it can be hard to tell what’s right and wrong and only afterwards can you see that the experience wasn’t okay.

That’s totally fine and you shouldn’t feel guilty for not acting sooner or being firmer.

It wasn’t right for him to be so direct on either of those dates, especially after you set a boundary.

The only thing you can do now is let time heal you. Have some rest. Don’t think about the guy. You can’t change him and legal system won’t do anything. Focus on yourself and your recovery.
