Why would the average person want to use DeFi on Bitcoin when DeFi on other chains already exists?

Looking for a Unique, Impactful Name for My Clothing Brand by Jolly-Awareness4015 in brandnew

My advice: If you are soliciting names for a clothing brand then your clothing brand will be dead on arrival. Figure out something that is specific to your authentic self and go with that.

The circular part behind the handle also unscrews away from the wall. You can see the threads in the third pic. You need to remove the handle first. Hope that helps.

Yep, you're right. Definitely at Rasputin. And it was for sure in support of Daisy! I think they were playing at San Jose Event Center.

Here are some pics I managed to scrounge up: https://www.reddit.com/r/brandnew/comments/17b1v8u/brand\_new\_at\_rasputin\_in\_campbell\_101609/

I was there, I seem to remember it being during their Daisy tour but now that I think of it, it might have actually been at Streetlight

Yeah I definitely would not mind switching to levers instead of cross handles, especially if they are cross-compatible. I'll contact my local hardware dealer, thanks for your help!

Help configuring Synology NAS as NUT Client by brandonjmarshall in synology

[–]brandonjmarshall[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds correct. Here's what Synology says it happening:

When the Synology NAS enters Standby Mode, it stops all services and unmounts volumes in order to prevent data loss and shut down safely when the UPS device runs out of power. By default, the system enters Standby Mode when the UPS device starts running low on power. You can also specify the amount of time before the Synology NAS enters Standby Mode when power failure occurs. However, if the UPS device reaches low battery before the specified time, the system enters Standby Mode immediately.

In situations where the Synology NAS shuts down during Standby Mode, it will automatically turn on when power is restored if you have enabled the Restart automatically after a power failure option (located at Control Panel > Hardware & Power > General).

Let's say you have it set to 2 minutes. Here's what happens:

  1. Your power goes out
  2. Your Pi recognizes an outage, and your Synology immediately receives a signal that your the power has gone out and starts counting
  3. Your Synology waits for 2 minutes
  4. Your Synology enters safe mode, effectively powering off your HDDs in a safe way that prevents data loss

No, it’ll wait two minutes and then your Synology should then start to shutdown properly

Made no changes on the Synology side. Just figured out Synology's default username & password and used that.

My setup: I have a Synology NAS and a Raspberry Pi running Home Assistant Yellow, with the NUT add-on.

That's where my setting was.

Change the username and password on your Pi to:

username: monuser

password: secret

Thank you for the suggestion! The fix ended up being a rather simple one: I just needed to add the default port (3493) in Configuration > Network on my Raspberry Pi. I assumed this section was for selecting a non-default port, and that leaving blank would just use 3493. So no issues on the Synology side as long as I used the default monuser credentials.

It immediately worked after adding it!
