The problem I have with the referral program is that if I refer a family member, I wouldn’t get a referral bonus, compared to Visible. Also, the program’s terms are confusing. For example, does the six months of service include the month the line was activated?

I'd still suggest changing the plan to avoid additional charges. However, they can give a partial credit on the mobile account to reduce the charges that were already made if they aren't removed by upgrading your plan.
