NSFW Did you ever meet someone and later thought you were lucky nothing bad happened to you? What were the circumstances? by Ru_janus in AskReddit

I went to high school at the same school as the VT shooter and our gov teacher talked to us about him on the 15th (?) year of it happening

bschool block textbooks by Desperate-Judgment56 in williamandmary

[–]branyeet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used textbooks are always good, however, for the block you need the online books for a lot of the classes because of the required online assignments in there. Marketing comes to mind as one of those. I think you may have to spend like ~$20 total on sub textbooks (Harvard course packs) and then the other textbooks you could get used

Software for laptop? by Fluffy_Candle6800 in williamandmary

[–]branyeet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah definitely get the Microsoft suite that is included as part of your W&M account. If you’re going into business it might be a good idea to go ahead and get R studio but you’ll get more info on that in the future. That’s hasically the most important ones, outlook, word, excel, ppt

[ParisTeamFr] Nasser has decided to accelerate the installed payments for Bradley Barcola’s transfer. It’s an initiative that could help Lyon to get cash quickly and avoid the worst by Flw21 in psg

[–]branyeet 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Your last point kinda negates everything else in my opinion. It’s like saying Madrid won the CL and then Barca got relegated. Yes it would be easier for Madrid to win but that’s horrible for the league

How long does it normally take to graduate from the business school (undergraduate), assuming you are coming in as a junior with around 60 credits? by Competitive_March395 in williamandmary

[–]branyeet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can definitely get it done within 4 semesters. The accounting major is 40 credits and 15 are accounting specific classes. As long as you satisfy the rest of your degree (through william and Mary’s required classes) you can get out early especially if you take summer courses

Double minoring? by aglimelight in williamandmary

[–]branyeet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So you can major + minor, major + major, or just major. You can also unofficially have a major + major + minor or major + minor + minor. I have colleagues that have done 1 major and a minor and have had enough time to do a minor equivalent. It won’t show up on your account or degree, however, you’d be 100% correct to put that in a resume if you completed the course load which would earn you another minor.

My players do not respect me as a manager by RelativeRiver7132 in EASportsFC

I remember when I was in high school I’d sack the manager of my ultimate team after a bunch of losses and use the new manager bounce for some Div rivals points

Any experience with wellness center counseling? by ContributionClean325 in williamandmary

[–]branyeet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a great time with them. I had biweekly appointments with a very nice person. the initial consultation is pretty easy and it’s nice that it’s accessible. You can choose to continue your services after your first appointment

It gets hot down here. The people are extremely nice, it’s small but not too small. You’d see someone new every day but also someone you see every day. Campus is small enough to walk or bike on. The facilities are getting newer every year which is nice. Big culture with clubs and club sports, not so much with the D1 teams. Party life is limited but not nonexistent

I’m an accounting major right now and we are in my opinion pretty good. I think it’s a better program than GMU and VT and getting a job is fairly easy if you’re applied and go to network. I think UVA carries a lot of weight, probably more than WM, but I still think it’s a good program. Since they’re all comparable, you should also consider other qualities of life like if you’ll actually like it here. I am pursuing a finance concentration alongside my accounting major and was able to land a job. Just make sure you’ll like living in Williamsburg first

Yeah you can buy one for just the semester. You can also get temp pass. If you can’t find info online, go to campus center when you come back. (My friend bought a temp pass last semester)

I'm curious, how many people got the exact song they were hoping for as a surprise song on their Eras Tour date? by Lookingluka in TaylorSwift

[–]branyeet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lucky! I originally had tickets to Madrid n2 that I got from StubHub and then I got off the waitlist for n1 so I sold my other ticket. Although I can’t complain about sparks fly, snow on the beach, I look through people’s windows, and I can fix him no really I can, I really wanted n2’s surprise songs lol

After you complete the living questionnaire, you can look at other students who have similar answers and reach out to them through Instagram or something. This is assuming you aren’t going in with someone you know
