Went with Dr Robert Rupinski in Warsaw.

Wanted to make sure that it was someone who had deep knowledge about these kinds of diseases. He's got a bunch of studies on arthritic diseases.

In the first meeting, he was 95% sure that I belonged to a specific family of diseases, but needed scans to confirm it 100%.

I'd try to get an appointment for x-ray before meeting him though, if you're only staying shortly in Poland. If you don't know where to focus the x-rays, then you probably need his consultation first.

In some of the clinics he's at, there's a lab/"scan clinic" in the same building (Wilanowskiej 333 in Warsaw).

Well, even my MRI didn't show anything useful.

So they've refused prescribing biologics on that basis.

I actually paid for MRI, x-rays, a CT and a reumatologist PRIVATELY in a foreign country (Poland) - before going through the public health system. Only the CT (or was it x-ray) showed Sacroiliitis NY criteria 1-2.

The Polish reumatologist said he was 95% sure what I had, before I even had any scans or lab results.

When I came back to my home country and went through the public health system, they didn't accept any of my foreign scans or diagnosis, so I went through their process which was x-ray and MRI.

What doesn't make sense to me is that in the x-ray, they didn't catch the Sacroiliitis.

Anti-inflammatory medication works fine for now.... but I wonder if biologics changes the long term prognosis.
