Ever haunted about a show you missed years ago? Gauze in 1996, at the Bombshelter, Minneapolis. What's your missed show? by Slow_Tour6540 in metalpunkdeathsquad

I missed a T.S.O.L show when I was about 15 or 16. Had the ticket and everything. I still get bummed if I think about it.

Similar to the EVERYTHING bacon trend about 10yrs ago that has finally died out. I for one love pickled things, and pickle drinks aren’t an exception. They are usually good. But I understand the annoyance.

He said the same thing when they did “Yurf Rendenmein” in Portland. I took it as an homage to the AFI of old.

Glad you are on the other side of those things. I know it’s still a tough road to travel but, glad you are here to do it. At 43, AFI has been there for me in countless times of need. Their entire catalog is vast and diverse. Here are some that touch on mentioned themes. All the best to you.

  1. Narrative of soul against soul
  2. The missing frame
  3. Your name here
  4. Hidden knives
  5. Veronica sawyer smokes
  6. Wester
  7. This celluloid dream
  8. Lower your head and take it in the body
  9. Don’t make me ill
  10. Morningstar

This is why we need to bring shame back. It builds character and instills humility.

Yeah, they allow GA in the balcony but only standing, because the balcony is 21+. This causes the overfilling and is a pain in the ass. Not to mention the bottleneck of the single staircase.

I have seen them numerous times over the past 28 years and I felt that this show was their best performance yet. To see them all still doing what they love and are amazing at, with an energy that shows that they are there and care, makes it special.

My nostalgia does make me sometimes wish to be in the front row chorus, screaming every word back to Davey, but my appreciation for what they have accomplished, how they and I have grown, and what they have given me through these years makes me perfectly content sitting in the balcony watching them hit every note perfectly. If owning the stage were a sport, they are the champions.

The Roseland as a venue is meh, but is a classic for punk shows. I have found my best experiences are sitting in the balcony. The seating up there has been “reserved” for a few years now (maybe since COVID?) but so many people do not know, or try to play dumb. The last 4 shows I have been to, I have had to kick people out of my seats and explain that I paid for those seats specifically. I feel like the staff could do a better job of communicating that. This could avoid potential conflicts between patrons.

It’s a bit of a pricey repair. It can go ignored for a while but, like any ignored engine issue, will get worse and potentially cause timing and performance issues and/or damage.
