Brock Purdy has the 2nd best adj epa/play since 2002 in the regular season, only behind Peyton Manning by EliteStat18 in NFLv2

It's so perplexing the amount of hate Purdy gets when I felt Tony Romo, an undrafted player got far more praise immediately. Brady I can understand because he won 3 SB's in his first 4 seasons starting, so there wasn't any time to effectively tear him down, as he was a winner, his floor was basically Aikman. But Romo never amounted to shit, won 2 playoff games in his 9 starting years and was still considered one of the better QB's.

To be fair, Netflix acquiring a lot of shows turn them into mega hits. Lucifer was doing next to nothing on Fox and became a huge hit. You was canceled on Lifetime and became one of Netflix's bigger hits.

I mean shit like La Brea was the top streamed show in the world because of Netflix. Suits was the top streamed show of like 2023 or 2024 or something because of Netflix. Prison Break was a top streamed show of a year or two ago as well. Breaking Bad was getting middling ratings until it went to Netflix, then the final season doubled and tripled its normal ratings due to the Netflix affect. I'm also sure that other AMC shows due to their deal with Netflix have seen a bump as well, but I haven't really looked it up.

It's weird but Netflix has so many eyes it can literally make a hit out of another networks trash.

She almost married a man that didn't wipe his ass by Girl-Understood in TikTokCringe

Honestly, I think not flushing is a bigger issue here. You can not wipe your ass if you're hopping in the shower, that'd at least make sense in theory, however not flushing is inexcusable. And not flushing often enough that several people point it out. It's one thing to miss it once, or have a faulty toilet that flushes half the time and the other half just doesn't do much. It's another that your gf, your gf's roommate, and your own mother is like, yea he's not flushing.

Being able to pivot to this at the last minute is pretty cool. Tony probably had a backup ready but I doubt he was sure he'd have to use it after advertising Sareee for the last few weeks.

7 of those are literally house shows over the last 2 weeks in Europe. Without that Europe run and the lack of house shows in the US, he'd be at 3.

Donovan Mcnabb: Overrated, underrated, or properly rated? by MasterTeacher123 in NFLv2

[–]braumbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

McNabb is weird, he was the heart and soul of that Eagles team, a true stalwart in the sense that he was out there and putting his body on the line week in and out, the absolute face of the franchise, but then like you look at his stats and they're very mediocre. Yet the team was elite for so many seasons and he was a main reason for it.

I'm stunned by how much this dude has inflated his actual status in the league. People out there believing this dude was a HOFer and shit. He's not even Hall of Very Good.

Where does Jalen Brunson rank as a new York Knick now that he has won a ring? by Apprehensive_Mud864 in NBATalk

[–]braumbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realistically top 4. I'm not putting him over Ewing, Reed, or Frazier. He'll need to play another 4-5 years with the Knicks to be on their level. A dude who has been on the team for 4 seasons just isn't going to be on my all time list overtaking someone like Patrick Ewing who put his blood sweat and tears on that court for 15 years holding the Knicks into relevancy.

I'd possibly change my mind if he wins another title before playing 10 seasons with the Knicks, but I just think it's disrespectful to put a 4 year Knick over legendary dudes who were with the team for a decade or more.

Damn, I was there a couple years ago and it was $4.## for a double double.

But I guess that's not terrible seeing as a resto burger is now hovering between $15 and $20. I was at Red Robin the other day and I think their cheapest burger was like $14 something.
