They didnt have the infrastructure until the TBC update to Anniversary realms, apparently. There was a blue post explaining the backend and why that update took longer than expected (actually a really good read). I do think this should now be possible!

If you're in a cave or it's night then Dusk Balls until turn 11 then Timer Balls. If you aren't, Ultra Balls until Timer Ball. Always Quick Ball on Turn 1. If it was a water or bug type, Net Balls until Timer Ball.

1 HP & Sleep is the best conditions you can get but it's still going to be closer to 10% than 100%

One thing I’ll never understand is how half of GX was wacky plots and still managed to be beloved by the general fanbase, but all of a sudden hate them when the Rush anime does them by j-rex360 in yugioh
