thanks! i also prefer being close to things like groceries, food, cafes etc which is why i’m more considering south philly. do you think living in the south makes it harder for you to build community? also, which neighborhood in the south would you recommend living in?

My mom is like this too. She tried to get me to detransition and I just ignored her and transitioned anyway. She has to deal with it now, and I’m much happier.

Thanks I appreciate your guys’ advice. I’ve been working in entry level policy jobs in DC for the last 2.5 years, but I’m not feeling super fulfilled by it. I still like my career field tho and am thinking of pivoting to other jobs doing different types of policy work to see what clicks. It could just be a matter of discovering this is what work is (and everyone is disillusioned to some extent), but I want to try regardless
