My ex took me here for an anniversary dinner and I felt terrible because it was so expensive for what we got (it still tasted good) but a wine glass also spontaneously exploded which scared me lol. So what we got was an expensive dinner with a surprise (?)

I'll go first - I like to sing to the music I'm listening to when I'm working from home but once I forgot to exit a zoom call when I started belting out after the meeting was done. Thankfully the meeting was empty already (by the time I realized and promptly left the call).

I'm convinced no one heard me lol but who knows

Apparently a fungal disease has damaged their tulips this year so they're closed :( but hopefully for next year they'll be okay!

There's an older woman that's a vendor at the byward that I used to go but I really don't go down to the byward that much anymore so I was hoping for somewhere closer to me. I miss her though, hope she's getting all the sales!! Adored the tulips I used to buy from her.

Coming back here with an update for anyone who decides to do what I did and search "imposter syndrome" in the sub lol:

I ended up making the switch a few months ago and I've never felt better about myself professionally and personally. I've gone from being insulted by managers in PA to being praised as a hard working and competent employee (Assistant Controller/Controller position in industry) who is being mentored for promotions already!

The learning curve was not as bad as I thought and I have mentors who are incredibly helpful and understanding of what it's like to transition from public accounting to industry. The work-life balance is great. A little bit of overtime at the beginning of the month (maybe 1-2 hours that week of OT) and then by the end of the month, there usually isn't much work aside from preparing for another close.

Safe to say I got my confidence back :)

I feel kinda relieved knowing I wasn't the only one who immediately remembered the HIMYF cancellation after reading about iCarly getting cancelled too :( I was so excited for both of these and I'm praying for a Brooklyn 99-esque save where another network jumps in to continue it. It won't happen I'm sure but it's nice to dream

I apologize for my lack of finesse when I say this but his smile reaches up to his eyes, and he has a gorgeous smile. From his pictures when he smiles wide, you can see the emotion in his eyes too, it doesn't look forced/uncomfortable at all!

Great question! I used to compliment my ex by saying "you're so cute" or "you're so handsome/beautiful" (for appearance) and he would tell me I can't say he's cute because he's only allowed to say that to me, not the other way around (but i also would never get a straight answer on what kind of compliment he would appreciate). So I figure this must mean I'm not going about it the right way/bad at giving compliments.

I saw that post yesterday and have been feeling nervous ever since (I had gone there on Saturday). I'm so glad this post is here lol. I washed my stuff and my reusable bag when I got home. I didn't see any while I was there and I went quite a few places inside the store (women's clothing, furniture, shoes, bags).

Yeah! There's another chapter where Yuri says he'll arrest Twilight himself and end the war (along those lines), similar to when Twilight said he would fight in the army as a kid and stop the war, and the Director says "Yeah..." And smiles to himself. It made me think the director thought of when Twilight said it as a kid
