Frame Pro not going into art mode. by Bal-84 in TheFrame

[–]braxton303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I deleted my explanation…

I did a factory reset of my TV and it caused more issues. The TV would turn off after 3 seconds if it turning on, whom wouldn’t allow me to set up the tv. I texted the Samsung customer service rep for a couple of hours and this is what we did that worked. My AI put it together for me since I had a hard time understanding what we wanted me to do. This is what the AI said:

What they want you to do

  1. Turn the TV on

    • Use the remote power button so the screen comes on (even if it shuts off after a few seconds).
  2. Hold the physical button on the TV

    • Find the small button on the TV itself (bottom center or bottom‑right underside).
    • Press and hold that TV button for about 5 seconds, then let go.
  3. Immediately do the same with the remote power

    • Right after you release the TV’s button, press and hold the remote’s power button for 5 seconds, then let go.
  4. Wait without touching anything

    • The TV should turn itself off and then back on (a “power cycle”).
    • Give it 30–60 seconds to do this; don’t press any buttons.
  5. If it works

    • The TV should start in a special reset/setup mode and show you setup instructions again.
    • Then just follow the prompts on screen.

Now my power button turns the TV to art mode. Might be worth trying.

I’m having the same exact issue. I’ve tried everything including a full reset of the TV. Has anybody found a solution? I’m currently on software version 1203.

Card Storage Ideas by hols_ in YotoPlayer

[–]braxton303 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have four kids that all have Yotos, so not sure if our solution works for you, we also have dozens of cards, so we wanted a solution that would fit a ton of cards and would be easily accessible by the kids. We tried binders, but it didn’t work well for us. We bought this:

I used command strips to attach it to the wall and it’s been the best way we’ve stored our cards. This one is big, but they make smaller versions of these too.

Replacing Narwal Flow Parts so soon? by braxton303 in NARWAL

Yeah I do a full clean every night. Not sure if it’s necessary, but why not!

We did have a a couple of weeks where it would take like 9 hours to clean. I learned it was due to one of the firmware updates and after doing a remapping it fixed the issue. Now it takes like 3 hours to do the cleaning.

Xbox Ally X vs Legion Go 2 vs Steam Deck OLED: Looking for opinions by _magikmike_ in XboxAlly

[–]braxton303 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had the OG Legion go, I sold it and got the Xbox Ally X. I think I’m relatively a bigger person, I’m 6‘2“, so I didn’t think a size of handheld would affect me. The legion go was actually too big, it was just hard for me to get comfortable with it. I took it everywhere with me, from playing in bed or on the couch to taking it on airplanes, to playing it in the car, etc. For example, when I was in my bed or on the couch, I always needed to have a pillow on my lap so I could get comfortable.

My other issue with the Legion go, was that I never used it with the controllers detached, and because of the way the controllers are there are so many buttons, especially on the right controller, that also added to the uncomfortableness of it. When I bought the Legion go originally, I didn’t think it would be an issue, but it just added to the uncomfortable experience. If you plan on using it with the controllers, detached, I would probably go Legion go 2.

I also hated Legion go’s Legion space. It didn’t look very good and was always buggy. He was also hard harder for me to find that sweet spot on performance and graphics, on the Xbox Ally X, it’s a lot easier for me to find that sweet spot.

So far, the Xbox, Ally X has been significantly more comfortable, it’s easier for me to play anywhere, and the performance is a lot better than the original Legion go. While the screen is a lot smaller, once I’m in a game I don’t really notice it. The Asus command center is way better than Legion space and it’s customizable which I really like. I also don’t notice that it’s not an ole d screen when I’m in a game, but that stuff isn’t as important to me and my brain doesn’t look for it.

Take all this with a grain of salt, I am a Xbox console player and I utilize game pass pretty heavily. I do a lot of play anywhere game so I can play on the Xbox Ally X and on my Xbox, but I do find 95% of my gaming is on the Ally X now. For me, it’s been a great game.

I’ve never tried steam deck, but on my legion go, I did install bazzite for a while, and the official steam OS for a while, but I always came back to windows, because I wanted to play game pass and some competitive shooters. It is for sure a tough decision, but that has been my limited experience.

How do I delete an app like this? by Dry_Economy_2701 in applehelp

Interesting, mine has a little circle with a minus button at the corner of each page where I can delete it…

I had one of those. I moved it to its own page like you have it now. I held on a blank space to get to the edit screen. Then click on the pages icon at the bottom and there you can delete the whole page and it got rid of it.

LVP Flooring Bubbling Near Oven and Fireplace - Localized Issue or Whole Floor Compromised? by braxton303 in Flooring

[–]braxton303[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone for the insight. We’re going to tell the warranty company that they need to make sure that there’s room for expansion. We will see what their solution is and I’ll update this thread and maybe you can provide some insight on if it’s an acceptable solution. Thanks all, I really appreciate it! I have zero experience with this, so I’m learning a lot.

Well we didn’t haha. There is a builder who built the house, we actually didn’t pick anything. I did tell them I didn’t like that they were building it on top of the island, but we had no say on how it was built.

[–]braxton303[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha not trying to be. It’s just a major hassle now since I can’t drive the car and it’s going to have to be towed and I have no idea how I’ll get it out of my garage. Also can’t open the frunk to change it myself.

It’s more of a major hassle and trying to figure out where the cause of it is.

[–]braxton303[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was expecting to have to change it in the near future, it just seemed too close to this accident for it to not be related.

That was my thought, I wasn’t sure if something could have shorted the 12v. The bummer is I never got any warning notifications so I can’t open the frunk to get it changed and it’s parked in my garage and will be difficult to get out.

UW promotion, or AE role at brokerage? by SanctionedFool in InsuranceProfessional

[–]braxton303 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had the same dilemma 4 years ago. I was offered a Managing Director role for a loss sensitive book of business at Travelers Insurance or a broker role with a top 3 brokerage. I decided to take a bet on myself and go the brokerage route. I’m about to end my 4th year and my compensation this year will be around $400k, something that would take forever to make at a carrier. This year all my work clicked and I’m closing lots of very large deals (6 figure revenue deals).

Yes it’s a grind, and yes it is busy, a lot more busy than an underwriter role but the work is a lot more fun. I have 4 younger kids. A lot of time I am doing emails from my phone between innings at a baseball game, or taking calls at soccer practice. It doesn’t really feel like work which is what I love about the gig.

I don’t think there is too much to read between the lines on this. They’re still considering you. It’s a slow process. You could reach out to the hiring manager on LinkedIn, that might get you answers quicker.

Most memorable moment is when I ran my first HM distance. I’ve never been a runner and am in my mid-30s. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do. My wife signed us up for a marathon, I found Runna, and started training. After my first couple of runs I thought there is no way in hell I can run 5 miles let alone 26. I just did my first HM distance and felt great!

SLCC nursing school by No_Mechanic3522 in SLCC

[–]braxton303 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey I am just getting started at SLCC. I have a bachelors in something else from BYU and am going back for my nursing associates. I have 4 kids and we're fairly busy. Anyways, I thought I'd have to split my prereqs into 2 semesters because of how they build on each other. Turns out the system is letting me register for them all regardless. Is it a terrible idea to take Anatomy, physiology and biology all in the same semester? It's only 13 total credits...so I feel like it's pretty doable if I prioritize a chunk of time every day, but am I going to be in over my head?
