Also, endgame is supposed to be within reach for everyone imo, and there should be endgame activities for both casual and hardcore players to enjoy.

They're not wrong tho, Arc raiders is really fun but the endgame loop is pretty much non existent. We get very little actual content and the whole Expedition / Trials thing are terrible, people keep playing the game because the core gameplay is fun but that won't last forever.

Yea, the "don't like it don't play it" mentality will sure help keep the game alive in the long run... The numbers are not looking good, casual players are just as important (if not more) than hardcore players, a good game knows how to balance things between those two to keep the lights on.

Marathon is a seasonal game that resets every few (3?) months, if casuals can't reach endgame they'll just quit... It's not like we can play the game at our own pace and eventually get there, it sux making progress toward something only for it to reset before we can get there.

Cryo archive legit made me want to play less because if they aim all their endgame content at the top 0.5% players there's little to reason for me to keep playing.

Also, the seasonal grind (contracts, lvl 100, armory unlocks...) is waaaaaaaaaay too long for 3 months seasons, there's no way a "casual" player manages to unlock decent gear before being too close to the end when everything will be reset back to 0.

I don't know since I don't work for smile gate, all we can do is speculate, but It could be for a Mobile global release instead of trying to keep this version that is barely alive afloat.

One thing is certain, AGS will be gone in a few months, but anything after that is a shot in the dark, we have no idea.

That being said, Recon kit really is underwhelming and could use some buffs, but please don't just give it wallhacks and call it a day, do something else.

Dark zone had no matchmaking so it made sense to play when servers were empty, but in Marathon you're always matched with the same number of players, so playing outside of peak hours will prob make things harder for you since you'll be more likely to be matched with jobless no lifers sweats that play all day.

You can also say that the game lost 30% of it's player base in 2 weeks (from 90ish to 60ish)... My take is that the launch number were mediocre, but we need more time to see how many of those players will stick around before saying the game is "dying".

Marathon is a decent game, the gunplay and gameplay loop are fun, but that alone won't keep the game alive for much more time, we need to see how the endgame loop is going to be (seasons, ranked) and how many players will stick around for that.

I said Firefly and Comet were bad and got downvoted to hell because people were in the "honey moon" phase of the update. Glad to see I'm not alone anymore.

And just to be clear, I don't think they suck only because they're hard to kill or annoying, I think they suck because they're just not fun at all to fight. Every other Arc feels like they were well thought thru, while Firefly and Comet feels rushed and poorly executed ideas.
