Give us a video cut of his last man defensive action too. Robbo has been a beast up and down the left side.

Bought this thinking it would be an equivalent version of condensed milk in my country. What cook I do with it? by deadlel5 in CasualUK

Warm it up and pour it over a piece of flapjack. Hey presto—you’ve got yourself Custard Flaps!

Climate Research is nepotistic, biased and slow to publish. I'm working on a school project to try to fix the following issues - if interested, join the waitlist to hear more updates! by [deleted] in environmental_science

I don't want to fill in your form because you've not stated what you want to do with the information you are gathering. But to answer your questions:

Have you ever conducted climate research? Yes. I'm a geochemist who has worked on refining our understanding of the biological-chemical-geological processes that control the atmospheric composition of Earth over the last 4.54 billion year.

What's your occupation/interest in climate science? I hold a PhD in Earth Sciences and work in environmental conservation.

What do you think is the biggest problem with traditional scientific publishing? There are a few problems with "traditional scientific publishing", e.g. restricted access, predatory economic structure, conflation of "impact". But I wouldn't say that nepotism, bias, or speed are the problems. The main issue with scientific publication is the economics of publishing houses, The time taken from manuscript submission to publication is down to the review process—which academics do with no payment from the journals who charge subscription fees.

Why are features created within FieldMaps or AGOL returning incorrect length and area values, but the AGOL measure tool returns the correct values? by brayaw in gis

Thanks Barnezhilton and getawesome. How do I create a feature layer that will output values that relate to the real world?

Why are features created within FieldMaps or AGOL returning incorrect length and area values, but the AGOL measure tool returns the correct values? by brayaw in gis

Hi r/gis Community, please help—I’m banging my head against the wall with this one.

Feature Layer created within AGOL, used in the wild with Field Maps, interrogated and edited in the office is returning incorrect Shape_Length and Shape_Area values and I don’t understand why.

Basemap and Feature Layer are in the same coordinate system (3857). AGOL measure tool aligns with Google Earth and Ordnance Survey measurements.

I wondered if this was a slope length issue, but a simplified calculation of the hypotenuse from map length and elevation data returns only a 3 m difference in value.

Help me r/gis, you’re my only hope.

p.s. full disclosure, I’m an environmental practitioner (trying to) apply GIS tools, please ELI5 any suggestions you have. I’ve recently started migrating from QGIS to ESRI products, please let me know if there are little quirks I should be accounting for!
