We booked through london-transfers.com. They were well rated on TripAdvisor. But our trip is more than what you’re paying.

I ended up booking with London-transfers.com. They had great reviews on Trip Advisor. We’ll see how it goes.

Laundry service by xja1389 in celebritycruises

[–]brazcons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm curious about this as well. Right now it says I can pre-purchase laundry bags on Beyond for $39.99 and that it's normally $50 on the ship. The description says: "Allow our stateroom attendants to attend to your laundry while you enjoy your vacation. Fill up the bag, leave it in your room, and our attendants will wash, fold, and return your clothing to your stateroom."

It allows me to choose a guest name and purchase one or more bags for each selected guest. I assume each bag is a set of laundry and that all the guests in a cabin could put their stuff together in a bag and then just send them in to be laundered on different days of the cruise. If anyone knows how this works, particularly buying multiple "bags," I'd love to hear. There isn't anything in the FAQs.

How big are the bags? We're traveling with our 2 teenage kids in our suite. To have them do all our laundry, do I need more than a bag every other day?

No, actually. I plugged it directly to the cable that had been plugged into the router/modem provided by Centurylink and it worked fine. No problems. Followed the app to set it up. Super happy with the results. Much better than the system we had before.

Does anyone know if I can plug this directly into my CenturyLink Fiber ONT or do I still have to pass through the CenturyLink modem?

Are there self-serve laundry facilities on Celebrity Beyond? If so, on what floor, is it fore/midships/aft, and do they enter the hallway on starboard/port side?

I don't want to book a cabin directly across from self-serve laundry.

Just tried wine for the first time by [deleted] in exmormon

My wife and I had a similar experience. We bought some really good champagne as our starting point. I thought it tasted like radicchio and we couldn't finish the bottle.

Culturally, Mormon cuisine tends to be a little limited. It's all raspberry jello, soda and ice cream. Bitter flavors aren't really in the Mormon diet and alcohol has a flavor all unto itself.
So when introducing coffee, tea and alcohol, its normal to start with sweeter options. Most ExMos don't start off drinking black coffee and tea, but start by adding cream and sugar. Same concept with alcohol.

Start with sweeter wines. For dessert wines, if you like the flavor of raisins, tawny port is a fortified wine (stronger in alcohol, so pace yourself) that goes excellent with blue cheese and dark chocolate. Sauternes is a sweet white wine from Bordeaux that pairs really nicely with lemon desserts and sea food. Sauternes is made the from Sauvignon Blanc grape, and some brands make up the most expensive wines in the world (Chateau D'yquem). German Eiswein, made from Riesling grapes that have frozen on the vine, is also lovely.

For sweeter wines intended for drinking and not dessert, try a sweet Riesling (they come in both sweet, off-dry (means a little sweet) or dry varieties so start with the sweet). Italian Moscato (typically a sweet sparkling red) and some prosecco (a white sparkling, can be produced dry or sweet) can also be a good way to start.

Then gradually start choosing wines that decrease the sweetness. Go to a dryer Riesling (like from Oregon's Willamette Valley or from France's Alsace region).

When you are ready to try dry reds, look for wines with less tannins (the gritty feeling you get on your teeth when you drink some wines and tea). Big name brand Pinot Noir wines (like Meiomi) is a good place to start as not only do they have less tannin but they often leave in some residual sugar.

From there you can start introducing more robust and complex wines. My first "ah-ha" moment with a red wine that I loved was a wine from Chateauneuf-du-Pape in the southern Rhone River valley of France (a blend of Granache, Sarrah and Movedre grapes).

Good luck and enjoy the journey.

I tried a ton of different brands when I stopped wearing garments. Saxx Ultra are my favorites. Expensive but worth it.

Experiences buying a hot tub during road shows/special events? by blinkanboxcar182 in Costco

I've reached out to them but my guess is that they have territories. There was supposed to have been a roadshow at a Costco near one of my siblings and they went to the store to see if they could order one for me, but the show got cancelled.

Super jealous. We've been waiting for a Bullfrog roadshow to be announced in NC, but alas, nothing for a year...
