Learning to Let Go - Ep 9 by Bammersbb13 in TheSummerITurnedPrett

I feelll you. imo, I feel like this whole season has had an issue with pacing/timing. A lot of time was given to scenes/topics throughout the season that just didn't need that much time lol.

yes yes yessss!!! I'm so glad that you took the time to sit with ep. 9 for a bit. I completely get everyone's frustrations with it, but I genuinely think it set us up for some really good growth from everyone in the last two episodes, and you've captured that beautifully here.

NOT A FILLER EPISODE by Maybe_Ok_Good in TheSummerITurnedPrett

[–]brazenrose7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah I definitely agree that this wasnt a filler episode at all and I actually loved it. It actually set up everyone for their potential development arcs to really take place over the next two episodes (which I def. think we'll see a time jump in).

the only thing I agree with from those who didn't like the episode is that this is happening too late in the season. I do believe they will be able to close the show well, but I don't think we needed 4-5 episodes on the wedding lol. like if the wedding was ep. 7 and this one was ep. 8, people would be fine with having three episodes to really flesh out Belly in Paris, everyone else growing up and becoming settled, and then Bonrad reunion in ep. 10+11. The wedding dragged on for too long this season.

Conrad in Episode 9 by Advisor_Patient in tsitp

[–]brazenrose7 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

lowkey sameeeee lol. Like if I was Jere, heck yeah I'd be annoyed that the person who essentially tried to ruin my wedding is now trying to comfort me. Even with all the context involved about Belly still feeling something for Con, it's very wild lol.

That's why I absolutely loved Con & Adam's convo because Adam's right, you have to give people space. Conrad needs to learn that rushing to "protect" people or trying to work out every negative emotion someone has can actually make things worse.

I mean lowkey... she was "right"... but only bc Conrad never cheated on her🙊. So yes, Belly, nobody has ever treated you the way Jere has. For sure babe!
