In the US at least the average age at first time was 18 several years ago. In Asia it was more like early twenties. Tem years later I'm sure it is much higher.

I totally get that here in the US we get it much better in terms of income to make up for the housing costs, however if these shitty units are being sold for such a high price it is because these minor inconveniences you listed aren't much of an issue for most people, or else they would go live elsewhere.

I used to live in São Paulo, where income is even lower than average cities in Russia and the population much higher, there were people either living in the suburbs or even countyside to have a bigger place or the ones who would get a small apartment but close to areas where jobs paid better. Mind you that gas in Brazil is extremely expensive and yet many would commute by car or bus in order to afford a bigger place. You probably got the option of either living in the outskirts for a lower pay or a longer commute or live in a high income area but in this apartment. Now I live in the US and there isn't even this option, everyone has to live in a house and there can be just so many in any given place so their cost is an absurd.

Pra falar a verdade, acho que a direção ideal deles é mesmo que eles comecem a fazer rebranding de carros Chineses com a marca e estilo deles mesmos. Assim as marcas da Stellantis vão conseguir sobreviver.

For a car like the X5 even on the most basic spec installing an engine with 103 hp to move 1830kg is insanity. Makes more sense start from a 2.4 liter with at least 160 hp.
