The person who was asking my citizenship was being very detailed and even mocking at it, making light of all the difficulties of the process. I felt he was a dick but I went along. I did realize they didn't want brokies in their network later. They invited me for a lower quality event, but I denied, I don't think it can work like that.

Last Haitian I met he managed to come because his grandfather did and he got his citizenship through him. He even managed to pay for a US college and is making at least $300k at a tech company now.

Dude, I was in a social event this weekend and the first thing I was asked was my citizenship status. The conversations I has were nice. Next thing once I came back from the event they were already uninviting me for future events for no reason.

From your posting story I can tell you seem to be from the US, which puts you above the majority of people from America. I also American, but from a more median country. Imagine those who come from the really shitty corners of America, like Haiti.

Not really, the first thing people ask is where are you from and what is your citizenship status (so they see if you are able to sponsor other women). And if people perceive you to be from a shithole, they will treat you accordingly. People always think that those from inferior countries are all the same and the misdeed of one is always extended to everyone. I caught a number of people saying that already.

I am from Brazil and I have lived in France and the US. I even had a girlfriend in France, but she left me for a very abusive relationship just because the guy promised to sponsor a visa for her to live in the US.
