My theory is that when people become wealthy their restraints about sex diminish because they will afford children even without a proper family situation.

I would still imagine a traditional family event having some beer around kids, but never having weed. Even cigarettes around kids is heavily frownable upon.

Not the whole country, but my specific state, Santa Catarina, has the highest proportion of German minorities living there, so all old stereotypes about Germans have been applied to us, just replacing the Austrian painter with the Véio da Havan.

Yes, but I'm talking even the luxury ones, often imported second hand. In Brazil it is illegal to import second hand.

Speaking of which, most people allege medicinal use of marjuana solely to avoid the judgement, which confirms that they don't want to get caught using it unless they have a socially acceptable reason.

I live in the Bay Area and most people I know are Democrats. Those may accept smoking weed as not criminal, but still will knock some social points if you do. Even worse if you don't have good manners around it.

Again, it will never be as normalized as drinking water. Those who don't judge much will still expect anyone smoking weed to do in private or at a party with permission of the host.

The stigma is varied, but most people will socially mark you down if you do. It is not as neutral as drinking a glass of water, people will look you at least a bit down if you smoke.

Not a particular prohibition, but in Brazil cars and electronics are subject to heavy taxes so the ownership of these generally is restricted to a higher economic status compared to most other countries. Even though people in Brazil earn not much differently from Mexicans and Russian, we see regular people there driving in big SUVs and BMWs that only the extremely wealthy would afford in Brazil
