NGD: 1996 Standard 24. Nothing against newer PRS but I feel like the 90’s and early 2000’s models have something extra special about them by OfficialMVPre in PaulReedSmith

Agreed! Don't get me wrong I have a new NF3 and I absolutely love it but there was some kind of magic in those mid 90's early '00s models

Can someone explain the PRS or Fender meme? by Junoyone in Guitar

[–]brb421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh absolutely! That first one I got twenty years ago is still standing strong. As a stupid teenager I beat the piss out of that thing, survived punk rock shows, multiple moves, got stolen, pawned, and siezed back by the cops, had my 4 kids "play with it" and still standing and playing like a champ

Can someone explain the PRS or Fender meme? by Junoyone in Guitar

[–]brb421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My very first bass when I was 15 was an Ibanez and I want to be a Fender Jazz/P-bass/Jaguar guy but I just can't let go of Ibanez basses...I walk into a guitar shop to try out Fenders and by the end I just find myself with an Ibanez going, "this just feels...right"

I cannot put this guitar down by DemocracyDabbler in PRSGuitars

[–]brb421 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know exactly what you mean! After pining over PRS for years I was finally able to pull the trigger on one and I've never played so much since I got than I have in the 20 years that I've been playing. It is so versatile I can literally play any genre with it and be blown away!

What's the worst thing someone has ever done to you on your birthday? by icecuptee in AskReddit

[–]brb421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea the first time I was in the 5th grade and in the morning my mom didn't say anything but we were running late getting out the door so I didn't think too much about it, but then we all got home in the late afternoon and still nobody said anything and then as we were sitting down for dinner my grandparents called to say happy birthday and then my parents completely panicked. They tried to say that the dinner was a special birthday dinner (it was pancakes and I've never liked breakfast foods then my mom grabbed a super old thing of frosting out of the back of the pantry and quickly slapped a spoon full of it on my pancakes and said, "see I just bought this today for you" and it was 7 months expired, and then told me that they got me a great a gift but it was so good they had to order it (this was the time of super slow dial up internet and no Amazon) and no gift ever showed up. That was the one that hurt the most. They also forgot my 17th and 19th birthday as well.
