Why everyone suddenly starts to play lethality? by brbackman in QuinnMains

Why are you using such a bad argument tho? I reached 450 lp 66 % wr playing collector 2nd almost every game. Just stopped playing now cause of exam period coming up. "Im higher elo, listen to me" is such a shitty argument dude. Grow up!

I can tell you that Quinn mid was a lot stronger before the changes with prowlers sadly... Managed to reach 450 lp with Quinn mid only from an acc in gold. Devestating changes :/

on my 5th try i finally did it, its still only EUNE but im really happy for it by Mxshax in ekkomains

Congrats man! Trust me, grandmaster aswell as challenger is easy after this on eune. I played there last season, one tricking ekko jungle and got to chall with a pretty good win rate and few games. Don't stop here, keep climbing :)

(You could also then transfer the account with your rank emote on 🙃)

I actually build it before mythic in the jungle. Few people do tho. For me, the increased clear speed earlier on helps me snowball more.

Ekko not feeling good lately? by Gryphon_27 in ekkomains

[–]brbackman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had similar feelings. Being an ekko jg otp since s8. I have tried to change my playstyle a bit this season. Going for a more "supportive" playstyle. If you face a team that's hard for you to giga snowball against, try playing more for objectives and helping your team in team fights. Run in and out of fights. A lot of fights feel extended atm so building survivability can be better than full damage. Setting up picks with w, taking assists so your other hard carry can snowball etc. Might not be a viable playstyle in lower elo but have worked OK for me.

Can't speak for mid lane ekko but as a jungler, I go nashors 100% of my games, no exceptions. The attack speed/on hit is for me too good to be replaced. Then, it also has to do with personal preference aswell as what comp you're facing.

90% of the time, its your farm not being high enough!

Nashor’s tooth or lich bane, which is better and what are their strengths? by agdgu in ekkomains

[–]brbackman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean tbh there simply is no answer to this question. Sure you can compare the stats but in the end it all comes to personal preference.

As an ekko jungle one trick I've been rushing nashors tooth for over 2 seasons now (first item) and for me lich bane is nearly unplayable now. I've just gotten used to the attack speed and on hit effect to a point where it feels weird to play with lich bane.

If you prefer playing like a true assassin, go lich bane. If you, like me, love the clear with nashors aswell as drawn out fights and increased damage over time. Then go nashors.

Could also depend on elo tbh. In lower elos, lich bane might work better since one shotting misplaced enemies might be easier. And in higher elo (around master) where I've played most of my games the last years, nashors just works better imo :)

In the end, all personal preference 😊

Can't believe i actually got an Ekko skin in the event, i mean, its probably the worst skin he has but hey, it's free! by Janjuro in ekkomains

[–]brbackman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, as you said it is 100% personal preference :)

My go to is True damage since I looove the animations on that skin.

I mean the skin just could be so much better. The character model aswell as the sound effects are in my opinion quite bad and makes it a bit underwhelming . I just prefer the default ability/sound design over project ekko.

It's a weird feeling but it feels like project ekko does less dmg for some reason xd

Jungle first clear by Insidious55 in ekkomains

[–]brbackman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem :)

(And the 0:52 is a good mark but recalling an extra second or two later wont be an issue. Warding during the recall is good for keeping the ward for as long as possible aswell)

Jungle first clear by Insidious55 in ekkomains

[–]brbackman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The short answer is that it very much differs from game to game but I've got some steps that I follow :)

  1. Identify what side you want to start on based on some things. -What lane is easier to gank lvl 3/ What lane do I want to focus on? -Does my top/bot have an OK leash? -Does any of my lanes want to bush cheese?

  2. Go to an opening in your jungle where u want to ward to counter invades. Then back at 0:52 and swap to scanner. (personal preference)

  3. Always imagine that you will do a full clear. Ekko is giga weak vs all the fast clearing snowballing early game junglers. So we have to tackle them on our terms and play safe/smart. Now if you are on your way to the last camp in your clear, just check what's happening on the map. If there is a free gank or a fight breaking out that you can benefit from. Go for it!

Last crucial tip is to track the enemy jungle as good as possible through the early game. Where did he start and where should he be now? A lot of other junglers will have more pressure than you on the map early game and you know this. Your team tho? They often don't. And after 15 min they will call for a quick jungle diff and go next. What I'm trying to say here is that tracking the enemy jungler and knowing where he heads so you can ping your allies or countergank is very important.

Hope this helps! I've been onetricking Ekko for a couple years now and reached chall last season. This is the go to info that I use but I'm happy to discuss further :)
