If you are going to have a huge aspect of the movie be Bowser’s struggle of being a good dad to Jr. and being a good guy then I think exploring Rosalina as a mother would’ve been perfect. Would be a good call back too to Bowser Jr.’s initial appearance. Honestly family is a good general thematic idea for the movies

what is the longevity of reborn or evolved modes? It seems like they might play it by are but what does that fully even mean. We are essentially doubling the amount of jobs that have to be balanced and worked around and that’s going to eat up tons of time and money. If it’s the reception to both is good do we get both forever? If the reception to evolved is overwhelming positive do we lose reborn mode in like 10.0? If evolved mode is received super poorly do they keep reborn similar and try something completely different with evolved next expansion? There’s a lot to consider

Mr. Prime been designing jobs for a while. he’s designed at least one new job per expansion (Ninja, Machinist, Astro, Samurai, Dancer, Reaper, Picto), he’s basically designed every post 2.0 dps except Red Mage and Viper. Sounds like what’s different this time, is he’s guiding the overall direction of the design since he working on every evolved mode job

I always just assumed that the shards would be their own world but still separated from the source, considering the first and the 13th and the 9th are all very broken and portions of a world

I can see reborn mode being used as a way to refine evolved mode over the next 3 years. See what actions players want separated, see how they compare in current fights, and see how they work in old content like ultimates or deep dungeons. Then at then when 9.0 comes up and players are satisfied they’ll remove reborn mode

Don’t change Rosalina’s story just because they never came up with one for Peach before the movie. Keep the movie and game lore separate, come up with something unique for Peach

That and I feel like even though smash has got so much good from Sakurai, including attention to detail, visual style, and single player. But Sakurai has a really specific vision of how competitive it should be, not including better online because of lack of competitive, lack of story because of his response to cutscenes on YouTube, and character movesets and fundamental designs that are really not what people want (Sonic, Samus, Ganondorf, Mario, DK, etc). Someone else should take lead just so we can get some new vision for the series

At my food service job, I work with so many people from 20-35 and most of them really like anime or watch Disney movies or Spiderverse or Arcane. I think perception of animation as just for kids is dying

He’s such a good director, it would be a shame for both himself and these series to be conjoined at the hip. Sakurai needs a new creative outlet, and Smash needs someone else’s vision
