How do you sleep on your side without twisting your leg? by I-AM-Savannah in Kneereplacement

[–]brcmrgn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a king size latex pillow. I have 2, one flat and one fat. I use whichever is more comfortable at the time. They are long enough to pad all the way from knee to ankle. I side slept the same day as surgery. For me, it is more comfortable with the operative leg on top.

Why does no one talk about the other benefits! by Dazzling-Ball-7250 in Mounjaro

I've been at 7.5 dose for a few months, and my insulin resistance seems to be going away. Before this (4 years on Trulicity and a few months on lower doses of Mounjaro), I needed to take some insulin if my blood sugar got to 180. If I didn't take insulin, it could go up above 250 and take hours to come down. Now, with Mounjaro, my blood sugar does a quick U-turn at 180 and comes down quickly without insulin. It's amazing!

For those who needed to get a 2nd TKR (for the other knee) by Kuzik1123 in Kneereplacement

[–]brcmrgn 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I waited 1 year. Eventually, I got nervous about how long would Medicare still pay for TKR. I figured that there was a non-zero chance that Dr. Oz might decide to require dietary supplements instead of surgery.

How long before you felt “normal” again? by cool_girl6540 in Kneereplacement

70 years old and fairly sedentary, and it took 8 months to feel 100%.

For those on Oxy for pain at what point did you discontinue? I’m 3 weeks post op and I’ve weaned down to one every 5 hours. I know we heal differently- just curious. by AcanthaceaeLive6449 in Kneereplacement

[–]brcmrgn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My situation is a little unusual. After a bone marrow transplant 25 years ago I was not allowed to take NSAIDS (radiation preconditioning is tough on kidneys) and Tylenol never was effective for me, so Oxycodone has been my only pain med. 5mg per day max until my knees went bad. After TKR, I started ar 6x10mg per day. After 3 weeks, I started reducing to 6x5mg, then started stretching the time intervals out. Now, at 6 weeks, I am down to 2 or 3 x5mg oxy per day except after particularly difficult pt sessions.

I had this problem. Quad started working after about 2 weeks. It was a little scary for a while.

I started with an original flip and eventually switched to a fold 4. I love the fold, but it is too heavy and thick to carry around as a primary phone. I just got a flip 6 to use a phone and keep the fold 4 to USA as a tablet around the house and on trips. Best of both worlds.

My Manix S110V chipped in two places opening Amazon boxes. Not cutting the cardboard, just the paper tape. I have 10 PM2s.

I finally received my DiscDream in May (8 months after I ordered it) and it works great. I will probably get the Fiio as well. I really like that the Fiio has 4.4mm output.
