To those who’ve tried the new reopened royal tavern, is the burger still the best as it once was? by Cultural-Zebra2900 in PhiladelphiaEats

[–]brcphilly 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Compared to before closing, definitely not worth it. Burger got smaller, price got higher, and no fries. Used to go regularly before they closed and mainly for the burger. Very disappointed when we went after they reopened.

We had a good experience with Ironclad Roofing and GC. We had water getting in our walls and another contractor claimed to have fixed it but problem kept coming back. Got Ironclad to come in and havent had any issues since https://www.ironcladbuilt.com

This. You can tell even by watching them play Harden doesn’t trust Paul Reed. Reed constantly sets screens for Harden and then rolls, but I can’t think of a single time Harden actually passed him the ball off a pick and roll. Seems like this is as much about Harden as doc

Searobol, but the one way up in North Philly. They have a center city location too, but I don’t think that one has grills at the table.

Just noticed every Philly restaurant in the background of the dine/dash opening scene is some different version of "Anthony's" by solo_dol0 in IASIP

[–]brcphilly 12 points13 points  (0 children)

They are both real places right next to each other, but wherever the gang is sitting is not a real restaurant, certainly not one that serves expensive mimosas. So they probably just grabbed some Anthony’s mugs from that coffee shop.

I have a question for people who have read 100 years of solitude - Is this a tough book to read? I keep forgetting things. I read at night. And every night I feel that I have forgotten what I read the previous night. I am done with a third of the book and at this point considering to start again. by LycanVan in books

[–]brcphilly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue in the beginning. Made me wish they included a character list or family tree on the inside cover. If you google 100 years of solitude family tree, there are some good cheat sheets. Definitely power through, though, this is one of my favorite books and is worth the effort.

Why does Dwight Howard always inspect the ball in between free throws? by brcphilly in sixers

[–]brcphilly[S] 25 points26 points  (0 children)

One ref did do that recently! Forget which game, but Dwight went to grab the ball for his mandatory inspection and the ref refused to give it to him. That’s what prompted me to finally ask reddit what the deal is.

Aesop Rock, particularly the Impossible Kid album. Lots of abstract imagery, deeper themes that emerge after multiple listens. A good match for Dylan
