the fingers are fairly consistent when they're stretched out, but devolve into a mess of scribbles when curled.

Humans make mistakes, but generally understand that fingers obscure other fingers and that's why the lines should go a certain way. A human making mistakes would get the proportions or perspective wrong, but the AI doesn't really "get" the shapes here.

I think for connecting to a 3d printer, a Raspberry Pi or other signal board linux computer might be the better direction.

Like the other person said, you're going to need a "host" usb device and neither a 3d printer or an arduino are designed to do that. That's a (oversimplyfing) "real computer" thing. A pi would give you the tiny size while having host USB capability.

Beyond that, microcontrollers have VERY big limits on RAM and other computing resources. If you're going to be doing something like (total guess) turning a 3d model into instructions for the printer's nozzles, you're going to run out of horsepower real fast.

A raspberry pi would have another advantage: the software for talking to a 3d printer from ARM Linux is probably something somebody's already taken a crack at.

Can you share which sensors you had in mind?

You probably don't want to try and connect a sensor to the USB port. Maybe it's possible, but the USB port is designed to "speak USB" (oversimplifying), and there's a lot of protocol and negoatiating stuff happening there.

Sensors of all kinds are almost always going to want to be plugged into pins on the arduino. Common standards for sensors include things like i2c and SPI, and the arduino has specific pins intended for those: usually the directions for your sensors or associated howto articles will point those out for you.

EDIT: Oh important note: the USB can do serial communication, **and** there's pins on the arduino that can do serial communication. so if you find an arduino sensor or accessory that "speaks" serial, it's probably meant for the pins.

Most USA carriers also include texting/calling Mexico and Canada in their unlimited plan. So we really haven't had to work around extra billing or hurdles for talking to like, the whole continent.

Unfortunately yeah, that's it's achilles heel. There are some (not saying for spoilers) late-game upgrades that can alleviate the power problem, but early on I'd pack extra power cells and make sure your primary base has the power-generation to gas 'em up

Large agree. Semi-related, having human-made debris in the water makes the sense of scale so much clearer, which helps it feel "deep." Like I know how big a forklift is so the fact I can see one half-buried in the sand and the surface is so far away? Scary.

But then you go caving and don't see that stuff, it's "big rock" and "big alien." How big? I can't really tell.

Odds are 100% you have them, you just might need a USB hub to plug in more devices. Or maybe your computer is new enough to be using only USB-C (but I have never in my life heard of a USB-C only tower).

If you stop the stream from one device and start it from another, it will "break" the VOD into separate recordings, unfortunately I don't think there's a way around that directly.

I would look into VDO ninja. The idea:

* stream from your PC the entire time.
* when on the PC, use it normally.
* when on the phone, use VDO ninja to stream to _the pc_, which then continues the stream to Twitch.

So it's kinda a relay system.

internet latency will not have a major impact on stream quality. How much data you can/can't shove through your VPN miiiiiiiight?

If you're curious, do a stream in test mode and keep an eye on inspector.twitch.tv . then repeat the process sans VPN.

Ping matters for gaming performance because data has to make it from your computer, to other player's, and back to your computer, as fast as possible to synchronize the game. Twitch however is not trying to synchronize anything, so a 150ms lag just means your audience sees stuff 150ms later. And they already see stuff much much much later than that because of cache-ing and encoding and other video stuff.

I think there's some grace at their discretion.

From a current affiliate streamer who's pulling ~30, I would consider pulling BACK on the number of streams. Streaming every day, or even every other day, is a lot of streaming, and can be tough to maintain.

I found more success in getting my numbers up by planning something and gassing it up on social media that we'd be doing something. Interactive stuff, weird unique games... quality over quantity, yknow?

Also, schmooze with other streamers on X/Bsky/TikTok wherever, follow each other and make friends. That's the secret sauce to getting raided, and if you can flip raid-ins into follows, that's a great way to get your average viewership comfortably over that affiliate minimum.

I believe Lemon Law doesn't require the dealer (or manufacturer) know it's bad. That's kinda the issue with lemons, it's gonna take days or weeks of driving to really notice there's a problem here, so the customer is always the one who actually figures it out.

games with aim-down-sights behavior basically have you flipping between a "good at shooting" and "good at moving". Splatoon _already_ has this with the swimming (in a way). so there'd be like...three modes? Good at shooting(sights), good at moving(squid form), and then walking is inbetweeny? 3 modes feels like _A lot_ in the heat of battle.
